As much as I hate that McLaren have fumbled so many wins this year it does show that there is so much more to it than just having the fastest car
Wonder if Lewis is regretting his contract decision based on Mercedes going forward and Ferrari going backwards at the moment?
I don’t think so. I think his decision is based more than on the fastest car
The bad strategy for me just shows their inexperience in race winning situations, being able to make those hard calls, taking the risks. It shows the team hasn't been a title winning team for so long, they haven't had that strategy pressure on the team. But they need to start improving and getting it right.
i honestly feel like he signed with ferrari for a victory lap of some kind before he retires - every driver secretly wants to be in that car for branding alone so he probably decided to take the opportunity (given that he really likes fred too) rather than judging it on race pace.
will be a different story when he’s having an eight minute pit stop and they forget the tyres or sm though
Well, yeah, I know. It's definitely his fall out with the team (Toto) behind the scenes. But he's gonna be pissed if Ferrari can't get their tit together with their car.

they do - it shows that winning is a habit you have to get into. It’s why no matter what happens rbr and max always end up near the top even after a mess up
