Worst drug ever.
Worst drug ever.
I sweat like no tomorrow with Sertraline. Night sweats are utterly, utterly savage. I’ve been on it for 2 years and it hasn’t stopped for me unfortunately. My mental health nurse has suggested I move from fluxoetine to sertaline because fluo makes me sweat like shit and summer time is hell. Does sertaline make you sweat? I'm debating whether to change.
I've just stumbled on this thread and that'ss is really interesting.50mg is a really low dose on Sertraline. For me (OCD and severe physical anxiety symptoms with low mood as a result) the therapeutic dose was 159mg - which is where the research suggests it should be according to my psychiatrist at the time. Maybe speak to your doctor @TapToBoreMeRigid to look at increasing x
Sorry how do you mean? How do you take it? I’m struggling with it again.
Yes! So weird but my legs and neck seem to sweat a lot. Especially in the evenings.Has anyone ever had hot/cold sweats on sertraline??
I’m sweating just laying on the sofa but can feel the cold aswell. I’m obsessing over a draft in the room and I can’t find it, I am driving my husband mad. I’m worried I’m hallucinating![]()
Yes! Been on for 9/10 months the dreams were crazy at the start then seemed to dip off and now in the last week started again, so odd.Is anyone else struggling with the dreams?
Have you tried taking it at different times of the day? I had overwhelming tiredness at first but I’m now six months in and it’s all levelled outI’ve been on 50mg for about 3 months now, for anxiety. I do feel better but I noticed I’m very irritable and I’m exhausted. The night sweats have gone but I feel so angry and tired that it’s having an effect on my relationship and my work. I don’t know if it’s these or something else. Tried to speak to my doctor but so far no joy.
I changed from taking it at night to taking it first thing in the morning with breakfast. I used to be very tired otherwiseDoes anyone take their dose at night? I’m thinking of switching to night to combat the tiredness I have been feeling from it. I also think it’s starting to interact with the amount of coffee I consume!
Thank you, I've been on flu for 3 years and if sertaline is going to make me sweat the same I will leave it.Yep I was sweating like mad with sertraline it was truly awful
Yeah same - I’ve stopped taking it now and the sweating literally stopped overnightYep I was sweating like mad with sertraline it was truly awful
When I was in hospital the recommended times were to take half a dose at 1pm and the next by 10pm.Yes, that’s what I mean. I took it at night yesterday without water and I’m suffering. If I take it at night, I can’t really fall asleep. Not sure what to do again.
Thank you so much xIt’s referred to as ‘emotional blunting’ it can be a passing side effect but it can also be long term. Just persevere and review in 3 weeks. It’s not easy but it’ll be worth it x
