Aside from the annoying advert this is actually the type of video that I find more interesting and hope Eve continues with. It was a little brief but I suppose the case itself is still ongoing so we couldn't get to a conclusion just yet. Maybe she could have waited until the case itself had progressed further but I actually found this content interesting so I hope so concentrates on stuff like this going forward.
This sums it up for me. I don't mind ads but I prefer people like Jay forman who stick to old advertising regulations etc. The vid was well done but the transition into the ad was tacky especially when it comes to discussing the loss of life imo

I haven't seen the video, only her story plugging it. How is she apparently looking at all the evidence in a case which hasn't even gone to trial yet? And is she looking at it from a US law standpoint? Because it's got nothing to do with UK law. At least Wagatha Christie is UK-related and at least some of the evidence has been published.
I'm sure it's well-researched, but I'd be more interested if she was... a criminal lawyer. But my impression was there wasn't enough money in it at the time for her to pursue it. Idk, these videos feel icky to me, monestising someone's death. I hate true crime if it doesn't serve any wider purpose
Interestingly there are (or were when I checked, in case she has removed them) a few comments saying that the video is slightly distasteful for the reasons mentioned above
I didn’t watch the video and I don’t think I will. I don’t know why but the thumbnail gives me clickbaity vibes and overall I just find it distasteful to make videos on topics likes this, I’m sure she tries to be respectful and it’s a well-researched video but still, it’s just not for me…especially since it’s an ongoing case.
For me it seems like she just doesn’t know what to do with her channel, so she only posts when she can make money with it, hence why every video is sponsored.

As expected, her new content trajectory is to pay other people to help her rip off LegalEagle content months too late.
She'll be making a Johnny Depp trial video in about a year and a half at this rate.
I think the general idea is not a bad one, but it's clear from the comments that people are finding the editing and the ad placement, particularly for this case, rather distasteful.
I'd think she'd do better by picking an FT news story every week and unpicking it and the potential legal issues - commercial awareness is a big thing for people applying for law firms, she'd easily have an audience for that, a never-ending supply of content ideas and generally nobody died.

It's not that you weren't able to, you just weren't willing to, Eve.
There's nothing stopping her from making a video in her own time and uploading it without accepting sponsorships. She could still monetise it through YouTube's usual ads, too, which would avoid the tonal whiplash of Eve going from parroting information about a serious tragedy to cheerfully shilling for a product she doesn't use. Not every video needs to be a sponsored ad, and it just comes off as desperate, greedy and exploitative.
Long time lurker etc etc but I am appalled at her latest video… the upbeat music, the segue from videos talking about a woman’s death to her smug face introducing her new approach channel, the even more awful segue into a cringe advertisement. I just can’t deal with it any more 
I think what I’m most confused about is that she did law at undergrad, then the LPC, tried (and ultimately failed) to be a corporate lawyer for all of 5 mins… on what planet of all of the cringe and arrogance of these YouTubers does she think she’s qualified to talk as an « expert » on such a sensitive topic?! Genuinely felt nauseous watching her latest vid and just had to come on here and rant

I can’t believe someone who is as smart as Eve would think that was a sensible thing to do. The cheery opening with ‘I’m back with a really exciting video’ then the poorly placed advert and general tone of the video was a huge miss. Surely this doesn’t represent well on Linklaters either? It certainly makes me question them.

I felt it could have gone into greater detail and provided more depth in a few areas.

It’s similar to her morbid fascination with the Pistorius case, iirc it was super disrespectful and tone deaf and didn’t take into account the severity of the whole case

Another thing i find odd, not just with this video, but with other legal content, she tends to talk about american law. And the thing is, she went to uni to study british law, which is not the same thing. So she can’t really speak as an ‘expert’ even if you cast aside the fact that she has no experience with criminal law
Yeah, no thanks. A law influencer as airheaded as Eve wouldn't have anything new or worthwhile to contribute anyway, but she's weeks late to the party.
If she's trying to pivot into clickbait-y entertainment law content, she really needs to step up her game and make videos about these cases when they're active/relevant. She's paying someone else to research and edit her videos and still can't get content made quick enough to stay relevant. If she's a "LawTuber" now and she missed the window on the biggest pop culture trial since O.J. Simpson, then what's she even doing?
She's very likely just parroting other things she read online from American LawTubers/whatever her new research intern threw together. Like you say, she isn't trained in American law, so she can't really apply her knowledge base to the case because none of it's relevant. But if she sticks to her niche of British law, there's very few entertainment-related trials for her to talk about, and she's clearly too lazy and creatively stunted to come up with interesting content that hasn't already been all over the news and discussed ad nauseum by other, smarter, better-informed people online.
I honestly don't know why she hasn't just called it a day with YouTube. She has a full-time job, and YouTube can't be lucrative for her if she's paying all her ad/sponsor money to her management and a researcher/editor now and clearly has no ideas, passion or interest in making content.

I think based on her recent actions and content, the public should be thankful that Eve left law for a career in updating PDF readers.
