Great episode. Intense, and so well done.
I find Laurie quite frightening, it’s the mater of fact way she talks-she told Rue what she would do to her if she did not get a return on the suitcase. It was obvious while they were talking that she was going to do the bad thing but not out of enjoyment, more that Rue fucked her over and now she needs to recoup the cash. Much more scary than people who scream and shout.
Thought it was good that Rue knew all about Cassie and Nate. The looks of shock on everyone’s faces was very funny, how could they not tell! That and Cassie asked for it with the smug comment and the look over her shoulder for validation that she is an understanding, empath.

i like this show for the vibes and the acting really elevates the material but it really isn’t well written for the most part. did any plot points really get resolved fully? so much picked up and stopped and not followed through. though the satisfaction i got from seeing maddy absolutely WRECK cassie was worth it

Definitely one of the best episodes this season. It sucks that the quality only seemed to pick up in the later half of the season though.

Excited to see how they wrap the season up. I can see a few plot lines being unresolved as they most likely knew it would get greenlit for a third season when filming.

Interesting that the only leak that hasn’t happened yet is Elliot’s overdose, although based on the preview it looks like that might happen in the finale. Kinda nervous not knowing what to expect since it’s the only episode that has no credible leaks.

Really hoping that Faye pulls through in the end as she’s been a really good addition to the cast this season. Will be interesting to see if they develop her character further in S3.

Really hoping that they don’t continue the Nate/Cassie storyline into S3, as it has been the biggest downside of this season tbh. I can see them revisiting Nate and Jules next season though.

Still bummed that they wrote off McKay after the first episode. His character had a lot of potential and it feels like it all went to waste.

Does anyone else deeply dislike Rue? I like Zendaya as an actress but I find Rue so one dimensional as a character. She's boring! There are too many "artistic" scenes in series 2 which take away from the story, some of it is like a GCSE film studies project.

I don't get why they have made Sydney's character the way they have, desperate for love/attention when the flashback of her growing up showed that she was the most loved and had the most attention, wouldn't it make more sense for her sister to be the attention whore?

if you're used to getting attention all the time, then i guess you don't know what to do with yourself when someone doesn't give it to you

I love that they are all friends. It would have been easy to have had a divide and for Rue & Jules to have been the outsiders and not part of the group but it’s much more interesting that they are all friendly - I liked the bowling scene and the interaction between Jules & Maddy and I liked the scene at the school dance where all the girls arrive and sit at the table together and are all complimentary to eachother on arrival. Yeah if Rue & Lexi are childhood friends then Rue & Cassie mist know eachother well, seeing as there doesn’t seem to be much of an age gap between Cassie & Lexi.
