I've never been tempted as my old exercise bike used to absolutely destroy my undercarriage and I would be in so much pain after using it! Sorry if that's TMI but I can't help but think that Peleton is for people like Estee. Someone who isn't that into fitness but has to sell an unattainable lifestyle. I have found so much free stuff on youtube since lockdown started that I absolutely love - the variety is incredible. You absolutely do not need to be spending huge amounts of money to get fit at home.

I'm here for TMI. Tell me more about the Youtube stuff please? I have a bad back and it's getting cold here so need more stuff to do at home.

But Effie was nervous when Estée got her. Effie is a dog that was rescued from the streets. I don’t think you can underestimate the impact of that.

I do wonder if the charity she got Effie from should have been a bit more thorough in their placement assessment. Whether London was what as best for a dog like Effie. But then she has been well provided for and Estée has a lot of free time so they probably thought she’d have the time and resources to look after the dog.

I genuinely do feel however that Estée has done well with Effie so far. She is clearly a lot better than when Estée got her. But a nervous dog is a lot of work and the work never stops. You always have to be working with the dog as any slip up or single incident can really set a nervous dog back. It’s a real commitment and takes up time.

At least from what Estée says she does not appear to have fear aggression, which is just another level of difficulty to handle.

I think Estée needs to be a bit more regimented with Effie. She needs to let Effie know that she is in charge but also there for the dog. She needs to be able to command the dogs’ attention to her. She needs to be the boss.

(Perhaps Estée should consult Cesar the dog whisperer! She has enough money!)

It’s not about which city is the most ~amazing~, or where would some generic 30something rich woman prefer to live if they had to flip a coin... rather it’s that she obviously has spent the last few years struggling without a sense of home or a strong support system, culminating in a very dark spiral this summer and I’m sure more to come because Estée is obviously not well and she never seeks help for it or at least has left it largely untreated for years. In those cases, it’s good to have a sense of support and identity. It’s obvious she HAD a home/family life in London for many years and struggles without it.

She never sees her family at all anymore, and it’s not like she should move back in with them but it seems it might be nice for her to, say, have a place to visit for a family Sunday dinner or a holiday or someone to check on her when she sleeps for 20 hours a day. I don’t know if there is stuff going on there and she doesn’t actually like seeing her family, but I’m sure her grandma isn’t gonna be here much longer and she hasn’t seemed to feel the need to see any of them.

That’s not to say she definitively SHOULD leave and that Toronto is a nicer city, however it’s not absurd to consider relocating to Canada because (a) she is a Canadian citizen (b) her family would be within a short drive of her (c) cities like NYC are very close by and (d) Toronto is a great city if you’re not a basic bitch who can’t contemplate not leaving King Street or eating at Brasaii or Freshii every day, or if you’re not a tourist who thinks they just have to see the CN Tower and bounce.

Her Mum was over last year, right before covid. She kept it *very* quiet. Does anyone else remember this? I can't seem to find anything on her grid but i am *certain* Kelly went to London at the start of 2020!

And even Canadians, who live in Canada, don't see their family as often as British families would as the country is so massive so kids could be living anywhere. So, in short, I don't think it's weird at all.

And Toronto cannot compete in terms of culture, museums, music, shopping, restaurants and history. The AGO or Tate Modern? That's a tough one.

I don't think she really did anything back in Canada. Where she's from isn't all that exciting, and she was pretty young.

She has been showing snippets of her guy all year long though and in the video where she explained why she deleted the old videos she heavily implied having moved on now (which in her case clearly means with another guy). The house she is definitely going to buy will not be just hers but for all of 2021 she will pretend to live alone there.

I don't think she should go back to Canada, I didn't suggest that either. I just think it must be weird to live in a country you only moved to for an ex-boyfriend. I hope she feels like London is home and is settled. But I doubt it...she seems unfulfilled.

That may have been the original reason to move, but that is so long ago. Plus, I don’t actually think she only went for the boyfriend. I think she went to get out of Canada and wanted to experience new things. She and Aslan were hardly a true couple.

And then she did stay for Aslan, because she didn’t like London at first, but again that’s such a long time ago. So of course now, she’s not going back because of experiences and decisions over 10 years ago. I wouldn’t.

There's going to be some long rambling speech about how like sometimes when you look into water, it's like a mirror because it's SO smooth (she once saw that on a lake or whatever) and that inspired the name blah blah :-D

I'm watching her latest vlog (I can spare those five minutes I guess) and nice of her to film the outside of people's homes and then tell everyone which street they're on. Apparently turning 30 means looking at real estate now. She says she's not moving anytime soon which in Estee speak means, she'll have bought a house in that area by next week and moved in by Christmas.
