Sorry, but I still disagree. No one on Instagram looks like what they do in real life? Instagram isn't real life.

Kim Kardashian is harming little girls following her with her unrealistic body image, that's instagram for you.

That isn't anything to do with Erim. Making comments on her actions is allowed as everyone is entitled to an opinion but taking the piss out of her appearance? I don't participate in online hatred. That screenshot you posted was cruel and over the mark.

Best of luck with this discussion, but just remember...

At the end of the day this is Tattle and this thread is about Erim, the basis of this website is to discuss what we dislike and like about influencers. This thread is quite tame from other threads I’ve seen about other influencers etc.

Considering she is an influencer and puts herself out there, she is up for discussion and that’s her own choice. If people have an opinion and want to share it that is their prerogative, whether anyone disagrees or not. This is tattle, and this is why this thread exists.

My personal opinion on this:

Whilst I agree, @‘ing or dm’ing influencers with mean nasty comments is definitely something people shouldn’t be doing.. not all comments that disagree with your viewpoint or brand are hate comments

1. Influencers are the new celebs. Just like there were tabloid gossip pages back in the day & everyone had something to say about celeb choices, we now have social media forums and places like tattle or guru gossip. Same thing. We are commenting on things to do with people in the public eye. We aren’t all up in the influencers dm’s letting them know our opinion. This is a completely seperate platform!

2. As alot of influencers are business owners, they should remember that disgruntled customers will always come online to comment. The same way I might tweet Hermes with a complaint if they lose my parcel is the same way somebody who had a bad experience with a business will talk about it online. As long as you aren’t personally attacking the individual to a nasty level & just talking about your experience, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that & it isn’t hate or something you will get bad karma for? It’s a review

Just my opinion on forums and reviews.

See how negative her Twitter is- that’s all she attracts.
Also, she is so sure that people will receive karma for the ‘hate comments’. Firstly, most of the ‘hate’ Erim receives is about her being a bad business owner who deletes negative reviews. If I had spent £40+ on a hair oil that caused my hair to fall out and was then blocked by person who ran the business then I would too complain about it online. That’s not hate, it’s making people aware of the situation and they have a right to leave a bad review.
Secondly, why does she seem to think she’s the good one in the situation. She literally is BLOCKING people who leaves bad reviews which she should not be doing as a business woman. Is she gonna get karma for that too? Thirdly, a lot of the things we comment on are our opinions. If you are an influencer and made yourself known to the public then you should expect that not everyone is going to like you. Erim is so problematic so we have a reason not to like her. I don’t see how anyone will get karma from that??
Lastly, erim we are building a better life for ourselves. Just because we don’t like you doesn’t mean our life is crap, you don’t have any impact on how we live so relax 🤣🤣

I agree with this! & actually abit unrelated but a consultant dermatologist, Dr Anjali Mahto, said in a podcast I was listening to (The food medic - no nonsense guide to skin health) that essential oils are the worst for making skin, (includes the scalp) react! She pointed out in this podcast that lavender is one of the worst culprits! I expect that is what is causing all these people in the reviews itchy/irritated scalps! Reviews of businesses are needed because they help consumers. So now if someone who is prone to allergies and has sensitive skin is thinking of buying, they can read the reviews and then do their own research! I only learnt the dangers of essential oils from her trustpilot reviews when I was thinking of buying!

I am not Erim... I commented on some of here Sikhi posts which I felt were wrong.

But screenshotting her photos and mocking them is just messed up. I’ve given constructive criticism in my posts... but I would never sit on my phone mocking her appearance.

Even if she doesn’t look like what she does in real life? Ah Tera Pua Lagda? I see Kaur B doesn’t look the same in her pictures as real life but I don’t mock her.

There’s a fine line between constructive criticism and online hatred. That’s my opinion.
Opinions are like a-holes everyone has one, welcome to the real world

ahaha as if she said people should keep their mouths shut. She’s so annoyed that there’s absolutely nothing she can do about this forum. Can’t just remove this thread from the internet the same way she removes “bad” reviews from TrustPilot.

Her reply to her latest trustpilot review is interesting because it says the oil is “informally approved” by dermatologists? This could just be one dermatologist, perhaps even an influencer friend that said “mm yea should be okay” ?? That’s strange.

There are tweets about how she shouldn’t be the one to go on bbc and talk about the farmers protest and I agree. We need someone educated in the economics and politics of India/Punjab!! Imagine someone asks a detailed q about the agricultural reforms.. I would not be able to answer and I doubt erim could!? Someone with experience and expertise should be talking about it, as it represents a whole community (farmers)!

Using posing and angles to make your body shape look dramatically different is a harmful action. Clearly Erim doesn’t have an hourglass shape and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, but her making out that she does is harmful as it reinforces the beauty standard that the hourglass shape is the most attractive shape. Any influencer trying to perpetuate this beauty standard should be held accountable; however this is a thread on Erim, so we’ll only discuss her actions. No one is saying that other influencers and celebrities don’t do this.

Isn’t it interesting how we’ve never seen any candid photos of Erim? It’s always photos where she’s controlled the angle, posing, lighting etc. What does that tell you?

At the end of the day, she’s an influencer and she needs to be accountable for these kind of actions.
If you don’t think it’s fair to discuss this on this thread, then you don’t need to be read or comment on these types of discussions and post only what you think is fair to comment on.

She said this?

Also, I am seeing that she is getting a lot of hate over the fact that she has been chosen to speak to the BBC about the matter rather than a better advocacy representative- what do we all think about this?
Erim has confirmed that the laws were too complex for her to understand. She’ll only embarrass herself if she’s questioned in detail about the laws.

If she feels like she doesn’t have the requisite knowledge to speak on the situation, then pass the opportunity to someone who might do, refer the BBC reporter to someone who does has extensive knowledge on the subject. The protests are hardly getting any mainstream media attention, and it’s vital that the very few opportunities we do have to speak on the situation, those opportunities are handed to people who can effectively communicate the situation. I don’t think Erim has that capability, and it’s nothing to be ashamed of as the situation is complex. However, it’s selfish to speak on the subject if she doesn’t have a proper grasp on the situation herself.

Update: Sikh PA confirmed that Erim contacted them about a media interview request, which I assume is the BBC interview. Honestly, I applaud Erim for doing the right thing.

However, it makes me think that but for the backlash Erim received about being selected for the BBC interview, would she have passed on the opportunity?

I’ve never thought of that before but everything you have said is true. Even if she is narcissistic, why don’t the people who work for her company tell her how bad it looks for a business to delete or block people with negative reviews. I’m guessing the people she works with aren’t actually made for their jobs and are just her friends who also have no clue what they are doing like Erim
Do you think people with high ego will accept other people's opinion. Its all about her, why would she listen to someone who works for her. If she's a narcissist that's how she will look at it.

I think she’s beyond her depth. As horrible as this sounds, she’s using the farmers issue to promote her brand.

Completely agree. She never really said a word in November and suddenly she has found a way to promote her brand through the farmers protest.

I am so glad I have found this thread. I never understood why or how busy she is. She never seems to rest, perhaps if she wasn't getting up so late and also spending so much in front of the mirror, she may get things done.

I do think she has friends as her employees rather than real workers.

I also don't think there is anything special about her oil. You can mix oil yourself and stimulate the hair follicles that way rather than spending £40.

Tbh I have noticed that she’s been waking up earlier- I think she realised how dumb it looks to complain about how busy you are yet wake up at 1 in the afternoon 🤣

Do you guys remember when Erim refused to retweet anything about the farmers protest because it was “mindless reposting” and that she wanted to make a change?

Does anyone know what she actually did which was useful and made a change?

By the looks of it, all she did was create some posts saying “I stand with farmers” or the alike and just slapped ByErims name on it. That’s it. That’s how she’s planning on making a change? I bet she wouldn’t have a problem if people “mindless reposted” that image though as it’s got her brand name on it. So she only refuses to repost images about the farmers unless it’s got her brand name slapped on it?

I know she made that TikTok applauding Rihanna but nothing useful was said in that either that would create a change.

She always talks about people getting their karma, but I think she needs to take a long hard look at herself. Using a humanitarian crisis to profit your business? Wouldn’t that not lead to bad karma? Absolutely disgusting.
