She looks so grey!!! I have to say this, but it’s so weird to see this happen, I’m someone who is half Indian/half white and I fake tan a lot TO LOOK BROWN ?!?How did people even like erims makeup videos, just look how light her foundation is
anyone who is dark skinned in this thread, I really envy you, please do not ever second guess yourself or be insecure because dumb witches like Erim try to look white. Said it before and will say it again I cannot wait to see a dark skinned Indian girl make it big on social media from the U.K.

Why can’t an Indian girl from the uk just make it, I know skin colour is a huge issue in the south Asian society but there truly are Punjabi’s who look white my family is one of them, we all have very light skin.
When she used to always say people never think I’m Punjabi and confuse me for Persian !!!! Or once she posted what ethnicity do you think I look like ??? Like shut up man, how can you now leech onto claiming your Punjabi when you used to spent all your time convincing people otherwise but now it’s suddenly cool
Also guys this is unrelated to erim! But I notice she says she has ALOT of makeup and she saves some products for special occasions, in my opinion what’s the point of saving makeup products cus don’t they have an expiry date most face products are good for a year max. So isn’t it best to buy just what you use

Light-skinned Indians are more likely to become successful in the influencing/social media because they fit the Eurocentric beauty standards, for example, Kaushal, Anchalmua, Erim, Niki Mahon and Serina Sunder. Granted they all differ in followers/sub counts but they are all light-skinned, therefor more relatable to white people/white passing. If anyone knows any dark-skinned Indian girls who are successful in the social media world please let me know! Like you said, it’s not a secret that there are huge colourist issues within the South Asian community and it’s perpetuated by influencers such as Erim who promote appearing white over brown which is why I find it important that more people support dark skinned Indians. The reality is that preference for light-skin is rooted in racism and its sad that our own community prefer that.
If you’re light skinned Punjabi Indian like me and my family, it’s easy to think colourism is not a big deal, because we fit the eurocentric beauty standard. But the reality is there are a lot more dark Indians than light and that’s where I believe there should be representation. Sadly it’s our own people that think it’s not an issue when it is, myself who’s seen first hand how my best friend who is dark skinned, is treated by other light skinned Indians makes me feel sad and it would be nice to see for other younger Indian girls that its okay to be dark too.

sorry not trying to call only you out, but why are people who are close to her/in her life on this thread? wouldn't you guys be able to directly speak to her? (i'm not trying to be rude at all so please don't take it that way!! i am just confused honestly)
i am from london and work in the wedding industry but i have never worked directly with her nor met her. but there is talk amongst photographers and asian brands that she is difficult to work with and acts just as spoiled in person. there's rumours that she cannot take any criticism, and that it is especially why her twitter is not a huge account. she gets dragged by the sikhs on twitter a lot because they see how performative she is. a few years ago she tried to sell some gurbani necklaces in collaboration with a muslim jeweller and there was talk in the industry that she was crying to photographers about the backlash she was getting from sikh twitter for trying to capitalise gurbani like that. there are many stories like this in the industry about her
if i ever met her i really would just straight up ask her why she does not have any shame lying to her audience like she does and trying to profit off of them so much.
i also don't doubt that she was catty towards kavita and harneet in real life. she mostly made tik toks with kavita when kavita was in no makeup, hair up, sweats - clearly there to do her job and get work done. but erim in full makeup hair done and skimpy outfits makes kavita stand in the background of her tik toks (most of the time you could tell kavita very quickly learned the dance moves and hasn't been practicing night and day like erim) and it's clear she does it to make herself look better in the videos. with harneet, anytime anyone ever commented saying harneet looks pretty in erim's tik toks, or asking for harneet's tik tok @ to follow, erim would ignore the comment and like/comment on the rest of the comments that were only praising her. she has a very immature, bitter heart and it seeps through.
i follow harneet on ig bc i think she deserves a lot of support considering anytime erim looked good, it was thanks to harneet! we all know erim's only hairstyle is flat and straight, but harneet was coming through with all of the fun braids and curls for her. it is nice to see harneet's page grow and i wish her so much success!!

I find it soo weird that she is blatantly misbehaved and has a reputation amongst the industry ? surely she would know word gets around, and it could potentially be the reason for her downfall at a point in her career. but then and again, a true narc in action !

I agree, it always felt like she was trying to look better than everyone else, Kavita is so naturally pretty! So I can sense some jealousy there. I think she just wants to be the prettiest one in the room, that’s why I really do want some other girl to come into the space who’s genuine
I agree, but I wouldn’t say I’m close to her I just knew her from the time I was studying abroad in the UK and after that had no contact with her and I don’t believe she was scamming back then like she is now but also I think if anyone even those close to her tried to call her out she’ would call them a hater and make up stories about them which she’s known to do and later get on insta and preach sisterhood after she just tit talked about a bunch of women bringing them down!!!!

and yeah i so agree, i think she only continues to grow because of the allure. she has done a great job at creating a false image on social media. but once people start following for a while, they notice the inconsistencies in her stories and more people are starting to see through it. i knew her online before she actively started pursuing being an influencer so i saw a lot of the lies she has told over the years. i don't see her career lasting at all honestly. the only reason her page is still growing is because of brown girls following her and wanting to support successful girls (before they realise it's all a scam) and guys who want to get in her pants - that's the main audience she targets. but at least singhs are starting to wake up too now. especially since she tried to capitalise off the story of the boy who got bullied. that caused a lot of singhs to be upset. kesh is not a marketing point. but she wouldn't care about that.
i don't see her "career" lasting long. even the brands she works with aren't that great. the handbags she carries are either basic or weird (sorry but that gucci bag is majorly weird, money can't buy you taste or class babes.) her sense of style is absolutely terrible and she really knows nothing about beauty and has no tips to give to her audience. she will be irrelevant soon, there's tons of girls who are creating such great content but aren't growing as fast because they're not posting bait vides every day on tik tok and instagram. but once other girls start to get more popular, she will quickly become very irrelevant.
i actually remember she has said many times that from the beginning she wanted to be an influencer. recently she has been saying she never expected to grow on instagram she was just posting for fun. but early on, at only maybe like 2k followers, before she really even started growing at all, she used to post a lot of selfies and spoke about wanting to influence and make money off instagram bc she learned about social media in uni or something like that. she has always has a goal to capitalise off a following on social media
