Kizzy & Etties pony adventures. I’m starting to find the mum completely insufferable. She was practically begging for a headcam sponsorship. They’re obviously not short of cash with all the ponies coming and going, and she had a headcam for Kizzy before, where did that one go? I feel like she’s living her dream through her children, especially the younger one.

It is both.

I don’t think a size 14 is XL as per some brands and no one ever queries the weight of male riders

I don’t think RTG issue is her weight it is the complete apparent lack of awareness of her use of her hands/spurs
Her weight is an issue also.

Horses and ponies have weight limits. It’s awful to see so many bigger people on ex racers. These horses are not built for that. No one dare say anything because you are Fat shaming!

Loose weight people to benefit your horse or get a horse that can carry your weight.

Unpopular opinion but a factual one.

Erin Williams, openly sexulising her channel, now has people defending her saying she doesnt
Ffs people she is, and if she wants to fine but don’t then moan about the Pervy comments when you do encourage it

best one I’ve seen thisesme fab channel for horse people and a honest presenter

Ok I’ve just looked to ray the goth and that is animal cruelty . She isn’t balanced and is far too heavy for that horse . Looks a mess and that horse is a lovely horse . Bless him . Companies who sponsor this , need to rethink what they are sponsoring . She is too heavy for him . No fat shame , just facts .

I honestly don’t see the problem with buying a ready made horse. If I had the money I would 1000% do it. It’s a good way to improve as a rider. The comments about Annabella and her sister are truly vile though guys. Come on you’re better than that. Do you really think she deserves to be attacked in that way for having money??

I am genuinely a bit sad that so many of the accounts are now so money/product driven. I really miss the days where I couldn’t wait to see what Tina and Emily were up to in their weekly vlogs and then by watching them, I stumbled onto other people such as Holly and Meg. But I just can’t watch the vlogs anymore as they have just become a marketing tool. I get that it must be great to be able to make money out of it or never have to buy your horse anything ever again 🤣, but to me, the vlogs have definitely lost the magic of the “good old days”. Ironically I refuse to buy the brands they push the most.

I don’t think there are many equestrian influencer’s that saves pennies. It’s continuous weekly unboxing of new equipment and clothes for horse and rider every week, that’s not normal at all.

I find Emily (emd eventing) the most relatable. She balances her ads well, plus she’s horsey through and through.
I agree. Emily is wonderful. She’s a great rider, but she doesn’t come across as a know-it-all or stuck up. She works bloody hard to be the best rider she can be - and she’s probably one of the best riders out of the majority of amateur eventing influencers. It was sad when she sold Lola but Addie is amazing and I can’t wait for them to be out together. I will say that sometimes Emily can look/sound a bit annoyed with Tina’s dramatics.

I've only just seen this thread - I haven't read the whole thing but I am relieved that you're not all RTG super fans - I too think she is far too heavy for poor Pepper, not a good rider, and that her videos are pure cringe. Also I don't know where she gets her money from?! I would never want to buy anything she squeezes herself into, that's for sure.

I really like Miri Hackett - she is very honest with the ups and downs of owning and loving horses, very knowledgeable and down to earth. I also subscribe to her Patreon page.

I don't really follow many equestrian influencers but will look on her for ones I might like.

Does anyone else find the "VE" squad unbearable when they're together. I can't imagine being among them IRL
I agree, there is something very shouty 'look at us, aren't we so fun, giggly & cool' when the ones like that at school were the mean girls.

You can tell how unbalanced and unstable she is also. On slight move in the direction she wasn’t expecting and she comes off. I’m sure most competent riders would have sat the run out at that fence?
yep. Also, if you know that she may run out, you would know that that would be the way she would run because that is the ‘open’ side. You would swap your whip into your left hand, keep the left aids on to keep her from running through the shoulder and why make her canter? Get an active trot and and for peps sake, don’t jab her in the gob 🤦🏼‍♀️

The poor horse is not comfortable under saddle anyway and she knows she is going to have a ton of weight land like a sack of shit on her back and it hurts so she doesn’t want to jump ☹

all of these so called ‘professionals’ telling her that her and pep are fine are idiots because they are definitely not. It’s sad. It really is.

So glad I found this thread . Is miss crazie Maisie still knocking about ? I
Unfollowed a while ago because all her videos were of Maisie leaping about and napping . Got terribly boring .

Another one ☝ I can’t stand is Henry Boswell . Lovely rider but only rides top horses . His girlfriend Caroline /Cazalina is about 65 and isn’t liked in the industry for malicious lies . She works as a groom on a livery yard of 5 ish stables but claims to be a top dressage trainer herself , she is nothing more than an old mutton looking gnome who completely years down any bright and upcoming rider because nobody can be as good as “her hen”
Henry also won’t speak to anyone unless they are training with Carl
Hester and supplying him with Colombian marching powder .

Can not stand Erin at blackheart equestrian owner , again , she only rides top horses and doesn’t have to work very hard with having rich parents etc

Also what has happened to the young brat whose daddy bought pumpkin? Saw Charlotte dear has been competing him?

So much tea lol
Just a quick note that the ‘daddy who bought Pumpkin’ actually passed away. The Pidgely girls had a father who was raised in Branardo’s, and managed to have a very successful career in later life and died recently I believe. I’m not sticking up for people who are able to buy ready made horses at huge prices, just saying that their dad isn’t alive and that he actually made his own money from a bad background in life.

They need to ride a school master and gain experience to then learn to produce younger horses. Yes, she is privileged but she is also very hard working.

I don’t think Gio was ever going to be any better than he is now and Charlotte knows that so has sold him to a GB young rider to help teach her. Charlotte has a string of up and coming young horses who are flashier and have more potential. At least he is staying in GB and hopefully will win medals for the young rider.

Who are the VE squad?
Used to be grassroots eventers now mainly into advertisements for numerous companies on their channels.
meg probs the only that is a true eventer.
i don’t like the whole VE squad vibe. Not sure why just gives me a uneasy feeling.
Always remember middle of lockdown them doing a n advert all together for Toggi when people were supposed to be isolating.
[/QUOTE]

I feel ‘over adverted’ by equilight, Toggi, welligogs and y food…I mean I guess the fact I can name them off the top of my head suggests the marketing has been successful, except I actively don’t want to but the products having had them pushed so much!

I've just been watching a few of the Life On The Left Rein videos on YT - not heard of her before seeing this thread. It's nice to see someone in their 30s (I think?) doing horsey YT instead of the usual teens and 20somethings making me feel ancient.

I personally really love Life on the left rein! I think not only does Tina have a wonderful personality but she’s also absolutely stunning! And she takes such good care of all her animals who cares who she’s married to ? Love is love ! Just let her be happy fgs! Tina WE LOVE YOU don’t ever change !
Right? She loves Rob more than anything, which is clear to see and considering she earns more than him, she isn't with him for his money. Also she is so fun and nice and gets excited about the samll things. And she really cares about her animals and loves them like her children. Also in regards to sponsorships, people who live or want to live off of YouTube has to have sponsorships to make money, so what do people care about what she sponsors? Doesn't make her a bad person, just because she wants to earn money. Like we all do.

It amuses me when influencers label themselves as multiple entrepreneur / etc yet their yard/Oakley/horses funded by mum and dad and you hear zip about the help they’re getting

for the avoidance of doubt I’m not against the bank of mum and dad but it would be nice to see the parentals acknowledged

TL:DR FFS thank your parents occasionally

I don’t see a problem with buying a ready made horse. However buying one so famous for a 16 year old is ridiculous, it’s going to fuck her mental health up. She is going to be under so much pressure to perform with that horse and any tiny mistake she makes is going to be hit with harsh criticism. And no matter how well she does it won’t be good enough, even if she wins gold at the next olympics some will say oh Charlotte would have got a higher score than that. That is not something I would want for anyone let alone someone so young.
