But I also think it’s gross that she’s in her underwear cosplaying as some vulnerable little dystopian American Handmaid, all for-eyed fear, when she’s a millionaire’s kid safe in London. She’s not some terrified little forced-pregnancy oppressed woman of the kind that genuinely does exist all over the world! She’s a super rich influencer! And in her follow up she boasts about fighting for her daughters’ rights… this performative nonsense does nothing. I didn’t think I could see a response to the vile incel rhetoric that made me feel irritated, but she’s managed it.

I do get what you mean and it is grating when rich people act as though they’re equally affected by politics, but Trump’s stance on abortion and healthcare in general is abhorrent.

He’s the most powerful man in the world and although we’re not in America, his views and policies on bodily autonomy are terrifying. It sets an extremely dangerous precedent and Em is right to address it.

There will be rich, pregnant influencers in America who will be affected by the new laws and being wealthy doesn’t mean get to keep your human rights while the poor suffer.

So because she’s sick and miserable for 9 months while pregnant that should stop her having another child? It’s only 9 months, in the grand scheme of your life that’s a tiny amount, it’s shit at the time, sure, but then once the baby’s born it goes away

HG is a bit more than being sick and miserable… she got hospitalised because of it. Also she works from home a lot and has far more support than others.

Please consider how many people could spend the majority of 9 months in bed / resting.

I didn’t say its the main reason or it should stop anyonr but there is still a lot of stigma around women out of a second pregnancy if the first one was traumatic in any way.

Why am I not surprised that Bully-Vibes Em Clarkson is chummy with Vicki Pattison? On Monday's episode of the podcast, Em said that 30,000 people in the UK suffer from pregnancy sickness or HG so she wants to do a 30,000 exercise challenge and plans to do 30,000 steps a day for 30 days (she did say they wouldn't necessarily be consecutive days, with around 10 rest days included). She wants to be sponsored to do it to fundraise for Pregnancy Sickness Support.

Mmmm. When I had pregnancy related nausea and sickness (probably not even HG, but very debilitating) I could not attend a friend’s wedding. It was non negotiable - I could barely hold my head up without retching so how on earth could I travel for hours and attend an all day celebration? There was absolutely no way.
