I just came across Hannah Adkins on YouTube, Ellen's content is very copy cat!

There are loads of them, all identikit models of each other.

I completely get wanting to leave work once you *actually* have children. Being a mother to babies/toddlers is more than a full time job. But I’ve seen so many moms lose their identity once their children grow up and they have no career/hobbies/friends to return to. She needs to have her own life rather than just being at home or in Cameron’s bubble of friends.

I’m wondering what kind of money she made in her corporate job, anyone have an idea? From the way she was talking in the 9-5 video I’m wondering if I’ve underestimated what she would have been on.

knowing consultant salaries for the Big 5, I think between 150-200 a year.

I agree! It could have been anyone. She looks so much more into him (desperate for it to work), than he is. I believe that the bigger the wedding to less chance of success too.

I just watched the wedding vlog and her vows were so generic and booktok bland, Cameron seemed uncomfy

Just watched the latest one - my goodness, she doesn’t live in the real world AT ALL! What an overly privileged life she lives - she’s so unrelatable and becoming even more unbearable! Spoilt beyond belief!

She’s left the sphere of “relatability”. Now I think people watch her for escapism, which is a slippery slope because a lot of people would envy what a privileged live she lives. I also think it’s much harder to grow on YouTube when you lose the main characteristic you got popular for (hers was relatability and 9-5 work life).

Am I the only one who also thinks she talks to Cameron weirdly. It sounds like she’s talking down to him or talking to him like he’s a child sometimes.

I must admit Ive not had good vibes when watching her with him previously . I think it was their couple Q+A where it was really noticeable . I remember seeing a lot of comments saying how into her he seemed and how meh she was to him ! I also always thought they rushed their relationship very fast for not just moving in together , but BUYING a house together !

When his brother came to stay she was FAR nicer to him and the way she spoke to her than she ever did Cam too

I think there's a strong possibility that Cameron agreed to propose within a certain timeframe. She was in her previous relationship for five (?) years and was probably expecting a ring but instead was dumped. She couldn't let that happen again. We have seen that most of her besties have babies. She's already lagging behind on that count. She definitely had a plan going into this relationship. I think she was sticking to that plan no matter what.

It's wild that they probably started looking to buy a house just a few months into their relationship when they only really see each other at weekends since Cameron seems to work away most weeks.

I don’t this this is all going to last.

I think their home was £1.2-1.3m. I cannot imagine what the mortgage would be for that. She’s also said previously her and Cameron used to make around the same amount so their income is now halved. How in the world are they affording so many trips and a destination wedding??? Are they relying on parents for money?

She did show her working from home and on Video calls in some blogs, I think my work would have something to say if they found out I was recording myself on calls during working hours. I'm glad she has at least been honest about it now. It sounds like it came as a bit of a shock, I wonder if they suspended her.

Much less silly squealing, inane smiling into the camera and weird hand gestures in this week's vlog which was refreshing.

I did wonder how she was able to nip out so often when working from home. Maybe they realised how much work time was being used for social media

She said she couldn't talk about it at the time as they were watching her videos. Made me wonder if she was the reason they changed the entire company policy?! Apparently with the old policy she was not breaking the rules, but with the new policy she would be and would have to completely stop YouTube.

It's not like she really showed her workplace or talked about work a whole lot anyway from what I remember- it was mostly just showing her commute and what she ate for lunch. But I guess even that wasn't acceptable under the new guidelines?

She said she knows people miss her 9-5 vlogs.

Ah, she did share a lot about the sort of thing she was doing though. I seem to remember she came off a call and talked about someone being really difficult to work with or rude/hostile to her. It was interesting for us, but I bet that wasn’t appreciated by employer…!

Jess is brilliant,im only hoping she doesn't do the same as Ellen. Recently noticed a few undeclared gifted items and forcing the camera into her boyfriend/family members faces. Jess is definitely more likeable and I think her boyfriend is quite down to earth and won't allow the pretentious influencer behaviour to take over,unlike Ellen,who doesnt appear to live in the real world,everything is comfy,cozy and cute

I have noticed Jess including a few Ads lately but I'm really hoping she doesn't go down the full-time influencer route anytime soon. I'm not sure many people could or would take a big drop in income like Ellen has just to play at being an influencer.

I don't begrudge these smaller influencers getting a few freebies here and there. I'm sure it's nice. Ellen will flog anything though.

Yep, her latest video today she doesn’t show her tummy area at all and her face looks a bit more swollen. I know it’s not good taste to speculate on a woman’s body and pregnancy but I think its definitely probably for her.

I think you are right, she looked a little peaky, and the birthday lunch was waters all round and they are usually quite a boozy pair!

Yep that ring is so her, bland and generic. I recall her saying that the proposal served as some sort of her reassurance after her ex broke up with her which made her very insecure.

I started watching her last year, so was very surprised to learn they bought a house barely a year into their relationship.

I enjoy Jess as well because at least she still has a corporate life and doesn’t seem too showy for the camera. Time till tell but I really hope she doesn’t go YouTube full time.

Looking at Ellen’s social blade stats, her views and engagement wouldn’t get her more than 2k of income a month. And she doesn’t even do that many sponsorships on YouTube or other social media where she could be pulling in money.

She's also said she currently earns a lot less as a full-time influencer than she did in her previous job, so I wonder if she'll stick with it long-term if her earnings don't increase.

I think she’ll end up going back to corporate but not as a full time consultant. She said she makes only about 1/3 of what she used to from YouTube and with their wedding coming up and her talking about wanting kids and everything, I don’t see how they could afford to live on her income now.

I do have a soft spot for Ellen, but her latest videos (apart from the Wimbledon one) are so similar, she goes shopping, she bakes something, she drinks an iced coffee in her garden, she squeals over some clothes, does some skin care. A few of those type of videos now and then would be fine, but she really needs to get some new content if she wants to keep her subscribers.

The only output in a week has been a long ramble about books (I don't watch those) and a 16 minute vlog about batch cooking. That's really going to rake in the cash and get her to those 100k subscribers she's desperate for.....! She either needs to be serious about this new YouTube 'career' or just go back to the corporate world.
