I'm late to the party, but last night I watched her wedding prep vlog. It's their life, it was their wedding, their money, their choices, but bloody hell, how much cash was thrown at this whole thing? All the stuff, all the pampering, everything seems so excessive.
Maybe it's just me, but we married on a shoestring and have been happily married for twenty years. Is all that stuff the norm these days?
Today would have been my 38th wedding anniversary (we're divorced, he's not dead :D) and we went to Gretna Green, did it all for less than 200 quid.

Yes, it is Cameron's and her parent's their money but it seems ludicrous to have had that big, ostentatious extravaganza WHEN they'd already legally married in London on 14 February - why not just have the whole proper and legal ceremony in one go? Just seemed a bit of a farce, in the circumstances, to me.

Her newest video, who has time for that kind of morning routine with a normal job?? She said herself she’s not even filming on thr weekend. I think the reason she doesn’t do a proper full vlog is she literally doesn’t do anything all day. Maybe an hour or two of editing and taking pictures but that’s it. And I don’t think she wants people to realize that.

Just how much money does she (and Cameron) have?! Not only did they have that massive, extravagant, ostentatious wedding in South Africa but they had a honeymoon in Mauritius (in what looks to be extremely luxurious accommodation)!

They have that (nearly £2M) house, food shop at M&S and Waitrose and she's forever buying clothes (Free People, ME+EM, White Company etc) not to mention books from Waterstones! They're often at expensive garden centres buying a shit ton of plants and they painted their living room not once but twice (when she wasn't keen on the colour) with Farrow and Ball!

She's about as far from relatable as she could be for the average woman in their early to mid thirties! (which isn't me, I'm almost twice her age!).

(@Fanny-Dango we posted within seconds of each other :D )

I think she comes from a fairly affluent family. Maybe they paid for the wedding.
I just don’t get how she’s not bored all the time. She can’t be spending more than a couple hours every week filming and editing videos.

I’ve just read a book about a NYC socialite. Her husband left her suddenly and she describes how she had gradually handed over all financial decisions/info to him (an investment banker). She had no idea in how much money he earned or what they owned. She was in a real fix when they split up 20 years later.

It feels a lot of YouTubers are really struggling for content at the moment. Very few have unique or original ideas.

As soon as the words 'spend a cosy week/day/ weekend with me', appear, you know it's going to be a bit yawn.
feel like this is why she is clinging onto this whole booktube personality as well.

I had no idea! The algorithm had only previously shown me Ellen's channel - probably as we live in the same part of Zone 6 London and I do watch a lot of local content. So is Hannah Adkins the UK originator of that style of vlog?
Couldn’t tell you but I’ve noticed if you follow 1, the algorithm then recommends loads of other her clones. I hadn’t realised there were so many others, either, until they all started popping up on my recommendations.

Honestly being a wedding planner is not for the weak and I don’t think she would enjoy “wedding stuff” when it’s not her own wedding. I don’t think she’s keen on ever returning to a real job
All she wants is to be a (Stepford) wife and mum with a 'doodle' type dog, to go to/have coffee mornings with similarly dull likeminded people, where they can talk about the latest Farrow and Ball colours. All while their husbands work at a high pressured job to keep them in their comfortable, if boring, lifestyle.

I've got an acquaintance like that and, for years, she's lived in dread her husband will leave her - he's provided the money for a very nice house, private schooling for their child (who then went to a Russell Group university) but I've often wondered what my acquaintance (a former work colleague who gave up her own fulfilling job when they got married to 'prepare for having children') had to talk to him about when he got home, when her life revolved around the 'ladies who lunch' types.

She’s really lucky she grew so quickly with her 9-5 content back when she started. I don’t think she’d have much of a following at all if she only ever produced her current, retiree content.

Looks like she's off to South Africa and her wedding planning series is about to begin (yawn!) I watched her latest reel on mute but I can tell she is highly highly excited by the insane amount of hand clapping!

I watched a few of her older vlogs after they were mentioned here, and she did seem much more chill and all-round more likeable back then. Watching them reminded me of how much more I enjoyed her vlogs when she lived and worked in London.

She really picked herself up quickly after that break-up. Took herself off on holiday, made a list and stuck to it!

If anyone is planning a wedding and looking to minimise costs, a simple Reddit search will provide wedding day schedule/templates for free. Pinterest can be used to curate a vision board and good news is that it’s free ha!

She’s so money driven, and while that’s not a bad thing, she does it in the tackiest way possible.
I do wonder how many of those she'll sell.

Only 5K views on her latest vlog and the one before that is also currently less than 10K. Something tells me YouTube is not bringing in the big bucks.

Maybe she'll go in to wedding planning!

She seems quite bored in all her recent vlogs. I guess all she does is read and film videos?

I watched her latest video, and the part of her not wanting his last name seems a bit odd to me. She doesn’t have to take his last name, but surely that’s one of the conversations that should have been had prior to the wedding? It seems like she wanted the actual wedding rather than the marriage itself.
Absolutely! It’s all about the wedding with her. It’ll be interesting to see how she copes now that the wedding is over. I can’t see this marriage lasting.

Yep, her latest video today she doesn’t show her tummy area at all and her face looks a bit more swollen. I know it’s not good taste to speculate on a woman’s body and pregnancy but I think its definitely probably for her.
I think you are right, she looked a little peaky, and the birthday lunch was waters all round and they are usually quite a boozy pair!

Does anyone know what the big stone is? Surely not a diamond?!
I’m guessing it’s a lab grown diamond - so not as expensive as a natural one. I think it’s this ring, in one of the vlogs I recognised the free ring sizer they send out and it looks identical.
