Lurker here. Just caught up with all the threads after like two weeks of reading. You guys are prolific! I started off as a fan. Started watching in the Chris era when I was a resident. Gosh that was what, 5 or 6 years ago? Can’t believe I’ve watched her that long. We were on the same trajectory of career/relationship/lifestyle and in similar income brackets so I found her relatable. I’ll just say we diverged greatly. I pity watch her now. Honestly I think there’s no hope in terms of a return to the glory days.

I was a little confused by her luxury SUV nonsense. Why didn’t she look at BMW or Mercedes? They’re easily the most popular luxury SUVs. It was so gross to me hearing her talk about “saving up” just to “finance” this vehicle. It would make more sense to buy used. Not to be rude here but if you can’t pay cash for the vehicle, you need to look for a cheaper vehicle. I understand certain circumstances may require folks to finance a car, but hopefully those individuals aren’t stretching themselves to the max looking for luxury “European” SUVs.

Honestly, I gave her the benefit of the doubt for a long time but the way she treats her customers/subscribers has exposed her character. Her recent daily hive scandal proves that she hasn't grown from her mistakes either; she's only gotten bolder with her scammy behavior.

That’s awful and completely unprofessional! Sorry to hear that this happened to you and I’m glad you got a chargeback from your credit card company. I think others have posted photos of their products in an old thread and you can clearly see the poor quality with the glue. You can also see visible blemishes on the “real” pearls and the irregularities. When I watched her videos religiously, I never considered purchasing her “designer” products because I couldn’t justify the price of her stringing cheap pearls together or importing scarves and saying she designed it herself.

I agree that we should create a hashtag or something to raise these issues!

EDIT - does anyone else remember when she photoshopped Dickles’ arm in their engagement shoot?

I agree. My specialty involves aesthetics and my professional opinion is that I don’t think she’s had a significant amount of fillers. Botox to upper face, yes, but not fillers. Her lips have looked like that since the beginning and it’s actually not easy to create a prominent central indentation with filler although some request it and we can use certain techniques to accomplish a subtler version (“keyhole” pout). She also looks like she is someone who retains fluid and probably looks puffy in the morning but you don’t need fillers for that.

Her chin implant is without question. I attribute her jowls to recent weight gain and aging. She may be having some bone resorption from the implant as well which can cause loss of support and definition to the lower face. Unfortunately her chin implant is quite square which most modern aesthetic concepts agree is masculinizing. A customized implant with a more delicate taper would have been a better choice.

I just assumed that was the result of her trying to slim down her wrists to make it more delicate. Look at how tiny her wrist looks compared to her forearm. She has slim arms but i've never noticed her having that tiny of wrists. If you look at the back of Rick's arm on his shirt there is an indentation there too. And Rick never seemed to have particularly big triceps to me. Maybe she did both his arms and hers to fit the aesthetic of a trashy novel cover?

Agreed. Her chin implant and dental surgery/corrections are pretty obvious I personally don’t have any issue with cosmetic surgeries. I have 2 close friends who had major work done and they both already have very delightful personalities and with some work done they are just happier and more confident. With Elle it’s a different story though. Cosmetic surgeries seemed to only made her nasty personality even more insufferable.

I’m sorry she was rude to you; I hate that feeling you get when a YTer singles you out. I remember leaving a comment on a different YTer’s channel (at the time I was a fan and wrote something that was meant to agree with him and his experiences) and I was shocked/disappointed when he left a sarcastic, bitter response as he took what I said out of context. I wasn’t a fan after that, lol.

I still remember someone on Reddit commenting how she thought Elle was a “sweetheart”. I dunno how people believe she’s a nice person...she’s been blatantly rude to her followers for years. I don’t think coldness has anything to do with being stressed over being on social media or her just being reserved. She’s simply a haughty bitch.

She’s a nitwit. I live in the PNW and was frequently driving in the backwoods to visit farms (long story, I used to consult in a agriculture-adjacent field). My AWD Mazda SUV kicked all of the luxury SUV’s butts ANYTIME we were backwoods and climbing mountains. It’s such a waste to get a luxury vehicle for serious mountain terrain driving. There are certain Land Rovers that are incredibly handy for backwoods driving (but I couldn’t fathom spending THAT much $ on a car just to watch it depreciate the second I left the car lot) but most luxury SUVs are meant for the city and soccer moms. I guess that’s on brand for Elle. It wasn’t like she was going to get into serious backwoods camping, snowboarding, hiking or anything that gets you dirty and ruins your manicure.

I remember! I don’t follow her on IG. I was on either this site or GG and it was a big topic of conversation. Rick is gross. Elle is gross. Her photoshop skills are atrocious. Why hasn’t she taken a Skillshare class on editing?! (I hope I didn’t must give her an idea for a future partnership .)

January 2020 vs December 2020. She gains all her weight in her face. More proof of Mr Next’s existence. It can’t be healthy to fluctuate by 15 lbs like this every year. Her metabolism will be shot if it isn’t already.

I honestly don't understand the chin implant. I think from some angles it makes her look very harsh and makes her jaw look very square. Maybe I'm biased since I also don't have much of a chin so I didn't really see anything wrong with her face before the implant.

I think when you are younger a stronger face shape is seen as more desirable since people with nice sharp lines while still having their youth look striking, but as you age I don't know if that is necessarily the case. When she's too thin the chin looks good (at least in that photo) but when she gains weight I think it just bulks up her jaw and puts too much focus on her lower face.

WHOA!!!! She looks somewhat fresh and young in the first pic (thanks to terrible photo editing skills blurring every millimeter of her face) but in the recent Dec 2020 pic she looks like a miserable, brunette version of Ginette. Those jowls are flappin’!

she actually looks cute with her hair pulled back or styled simply. Why she goes out of her way to over curl and primp her hair is beyond me. It’s so dated and old lady like. I just don’t get it.

Agh and the stupid fucking pearls already. Just. Stop. They aren’t in style and are not timeless. Her obsession with pushing her wares actually makes her so dated. Who the fuck wears a shawl over their shoulders with a dress that’s under 50?

Pardon my ignorance, but is it normal to be so jowly in your early 30s or is it just significant weight gain fighting against her chin implant? I wonder if it’s a health or hormonal issue.

I believe this was the first video I watched of Elle’s that highlighted a stark difference in chin/jaw shape. To me, it seems like this video was filmed a few days post-op. Her viewers even took notice. If you look at the comments, she attributes it to a “bad root canal”

I don't think this will be likely. I've had some minor cosmetic surgeries and even though they are minor (much smaller than chin/jaw implant or whatever), they take at least 1 month for the swelling to die down. The swelling/bruising/stitching won't /can't be hidden with makeup and will be very noticeable. It takes 3 months for everything to look "natural". For one week post-op, you're on around the clock Tylenol and Advil.

Not necessarily. A chin implant is placed through a small intraoral incision. External bruising/disfigurement is minor. Those videos are exactly when she had it done. If you look closely, her speech and chin movement are affected for numerous videos afterward.
