Pushpin fastenings bug me is the issue- I’m always paranoid they’ll drop offHi. Have any of you get your piercing and jewellery from Maria Tash?
I got two off Amazon for lockdown 2.0. I did the top of my ear and just above my lobe on the other ear. Pretty painless and healed really well. The top of my ear is a little further forward at the back that I would like but it’s minimal and I can’t see it myself!Anyone used those cheap disposable piercing kits I've just got 3 off shein but I'm scared
All I know is its stupidly expensiveHi. Have any of you get your piercing and jewellery from Maria Tash?
I don’t think so. I think keloid is very rare and it shouldn’t developed at 7 months. Maybe just soak it with a warm salt water for a few min?I got my helix pierced 7 months ago. I had no problems with it but last weekend it began to be mildly uncomfortable. I didnt take much notice again until today when I noticed a little bit of crust which I cleaned off with. I then spotted a little lump near it. I rang the piercing place and have an appt for Thursday for a checkup. But does any one here know if this is a keloid? Any advise on what to do? I cant remove the earring ad I havent done it before and its a bit finicky. I had planned to go back soon and ask the piercer to replace the earring with another one I bought recently.
Is it a hidden helix in the pic where the model isn't wearing any other jewellery?
Thank you! Which metal did you go for?Bar. Pick a nice bar so you don’t have to live with an ugly one for 6 months or so. Hahaha I think someone mentioned that it is quite a transition to sleep with a hoop. Few post back
oh I don’t have anything fancy. I get most of my earrings off ebay. There are lots of sellers who have decent jewellery. Either 6mm sterling silver hoops which are very tiny (but if I wear them too long my piercings tend to close up a little because they’re such a thin gauge. So I usually get 6mm 16 or 18g surgical steel ones. I don’t have the funds for nicer jewellery but I make it workCan you recommend where to get some little silver hoops? I am desperately on the hunt for some but have yet to find anyone’s that I love.
Thanks. If the bump doesn’t go I’ll just take it out. Studs are a pain in the ass!!!!I’ve had my nose pierced for over 10 years, I started with a stud and they pierced it with that. After about 1 year, I switched to a ring. I could never go back to a stud, it looks awful on mebut they insisted I had to let it heal with a stud first
I just had one of my second lobes reopened last month after it was closed for 7 years. You just need the holes visible each sideI know lobes and cartilage is different, but a good friend had her 2nd lobes out for well over 12 years, and the studio managed to reopen them![]()
Mine heal perfectly. Is tucked inside of your ear so it is easier to heal. Do it.I have three lobe piercings and I’m planning to get my conch done. I think they look good together
Can somebody with a conch piercing tell if takes long to heal? Is it a pain to get?
I have four in each lobe, my flat and conch in my right ear, forward helix in my second ear.If you get it done by a professional piercer using proper needles (not a Claire's gun, which can't be sterilized properly and force a blunt earring through your flesh), lobes piercings really don't hurt. I was like you, and forced myself to get it done to help my phobia. I had it done properly with a needle and despite my fears and being generally sensitive, it didn't hurt at all. I was actually shocked by how painless it was.
It was also easy to sleep with them in.
If you want to cheat, you can probably buy yourself some EMLA numbing cream![]()
Yeah I had mine done last July, no problem as a whole just every now and then or if I catch it on a top it may play up for a couple of days but I just treat it with saline to be the safe side.Anyone on herr have their conch pierced?
I am thinking about getting my done. I got my helix done 3 months ago after 7 years of putting it off.![]()
I think a faux snug is if you get a conch and helix done at the same time to get the 'snug' look if your ears don't have the ideal anatomy for one, it does look like one thoughJust realised do you have a faux snug? I think I want this next as I have the conch so just need the other
I do, certain earbuds are more uncomfortable so I had to try out a few different ones but it is possible.Does anyone here have their conch done?
I want to know if it interferes with earbuds. I would love to get it done but I think it would make wearing ear buds difficult.
It's probably best to go to the piercest an talk with them, but from my own experience I had a little irritation an some pus with mine as well, he said it was cause I was maybe using too much saline an not properly drying it after so the moisture was building up, I started using less saline an giving it a more proper drying once done an it seemed to work, but like I say the best person to ask is themCan anyone help with healing? I had two extra lobe piercings done with a gun (stupid, I know) almost a month ago, and while both holes are healing, one of them is still sore. I saw some pus coming out when I cleaned them today, too.
What bothers me even more is my navel piercing. I had it done with a needle on the same day, it healed alright until recently. Now it looks a bit irritated but it’s not sore or anything. I will put the pictures under a spoiler, can someone tell me if it’s infected or just irritated? I’m mostly worried about scarring, my skin is not prone to particularly bad scars or keloids but it usually takes ages to heal. Sorry for derailing the thread a little bit.
