He can't afford to retire? Maybe he could cut his cloth like any other pensioner and get on with it.
Im sure he isn't destitute and if he's broke then he will stand to gain money from his marital assets with Ruth in the divorce.

I used to like eamonn but he's turned into a complete dick in the last few years.
His skint and your skint will look very different.

My sister in law is skint when she's down to her last 40k in her savings account. Good pension, good job, no mortgage and is never done talking about being broke. I have no time for that nonsense

Hes a patronisting twat and was always really condescending towards Ruth so it is no surprise they have split up.

Knew when the tabloids were all pushing for the "Cruel Ruth didn't want to care for frail old Eamonn" stories that it was just Eamonn's PR people getting in there first before the real story came out .
I really want Ruth to come out and say that sex with her new toyboy is amazing and she feels 25 years younger. Eamon will blow a fucking fuse. :ROFLMAO:

Ruth is well rid.
I did like Ruth and eamonn together but you could tell underneath the bickering on TV there was a different side to him.

No show again on GB News this morning. Seems to go into hiding when the press have a dig at him.
Yeah, it's no surprise he has back problems considering how spineless he is. The Schofield thing was a good example ... he went on TV slagging-off Phil (which of course I enjoyed) and ITV and Holly etc. etc. But he still took ITV money and played the game for years. I find he is a principled man, when it suits him. Let me reiterate ... I don't care either way, I'm just here for the tawdry tattle. 😬

I think the Phillip Schofield/MM case had a bit to do with it.
Eamonn wasn’t ashamed to speak out and show his disgust.
Ruth was more guarded in case it had an impact on her tv career.

I feel sorry for Eamonn, his life has gone horribly wrong.

He should retire, concentrate on his health and live out the rest of his days away from the camera. I wish him well.

...yeah, you say that now, but if Eamon was on the market I'm not sure you'd be able to resist his charms. 😬
Oh I think I could resist anyone's charms lol. They all end up moody and farting and snoring in the end no matter who they are 😂

Regarding his Northern Irish 'humour'. We also have a droll sense of humour in England. We get it. He's just a cunt. He got shuffled off ITV because he wouldn't tow the line, I kind of respect him for that. I'll give him that. He wasn't for all the Schofiend shite that the 'ITV Family' wanted to shove down everyones throats.
I also "get" his humour as I grew up in a family full of much older relatives/friends and it was the norm to me throughout my life. It is not really understood by younger generations, I have to watch myself who I bring that side of me out with. So I see what's happening when things people like Eamonn say are taken all wrong. I'm not, like, his biggest fan or anything but I don't think he's awful by any means and I do find myself laughing with him at times.

So in a nutshell they split 2 years ago by the looks of things and kept it private
requoting myself but it's probably the best way to do it ... who wants to be going through a divorce and it being in the papers all the time etc, when you're dealing with all the added stress of a divorce. Not speaking from experience as such 🤣but when my parents went through it sorting finances / the house was bad enough, let alone it being splashed on the front page whilst you're still getting over it all and processing it!

Ha ha. I called to my mother the other day, and she is devastated about their break up. She kept going on about it
She should make a move. She needs to be able to push a wheel-chair and wear stockings. She up for that? 😬

Ruth's 64 I only hope she left him because he's a cunt and not because it's the caring thing, he has a bad back she might have health problems in a couple of years it's not something you can guarantee.
Chronic pain does make people miserable though.

Eamonn has suffered with hip problems all his life with associated pain.
He has had a double hip replacement followed by a dislocated pelvis which resulted in the bulging discs in his back.
Then his back gave way and he had a bad fall in which he badly fractured his shoulder.
He still struggles on with daily physio trying to get some mobility back but will never be free of crutches, walking stick or painkillers.
It broke his heart that he couldn’t get to his mother’s funeral as he was in hospital, even worse that he wouldn’t be there to carry her coffin
He's certainly been through the mill, and that's before the ITV and tax stuff. It's an awful lot for someone to try to cope with.

I do hope Ruth at least acknowledges to herself, even if she doesn't publicly, that were it not for her connection to Eamonn, she may never have had the opportunities in broadcasting that she's had. There is no doubt she is very good at what she does and she did deserve to make it, but so much of the industry is about "who you know". There are a lot of talented people who don't get opportunities they should because they don't know, or are not connected enough to, the "right" people.
