This is a great watch. Isaac is very insightful - he’s a very troubled soul, I think and is really going through it mentally and physically - but is very wise and I reckon he’s absolutely right about Dylan

I wonder if the whole push on “deadnaming” being so abhorrent plays into the fact of embarrassment? I would die of shame if anyone googled my name and this sort of stuff came up about me and would be doing my best with a new name and to erase any internet history linked to me. I’ve said before, but I am so glad I was just starting to age out of Tumblr when it started to get big because I was in several online fandoms, quite heavily, and had I been any younger I would most likely to have been sucked into all of this. Quite honestly, if I was 20 years or so younger I could see myself “being trans” right now.

Nah, they are just trying to control people.

I think a lot of people see younger versions of themselves being open to GI - thankfully you innocently got out before the push for it hit

Something doesn’t really add up with this ‘surgery’. If you’ve had a full on rhinoplasty don’t you get a lot of bruising for several weeks, black eyes and such? Also I’d have thought whatever jawline stuff he had done would have needed quite serious recovery time but he’s dancing around like nothing much happened. Seems odd to me.

The way he was shaking his head around made me cringe - surely it would be painful to do this so soon after surgery? Even if he's still on "good" painkillers to numb the pain I wouldn't have thought it was advisable from a recovery point of view.

Maybe he just had surgery on the tip, to get that turned up ‘pixie’ identikit nose job that all the dimfluencers have these days? I don’t know if that’s less invasive or something perhaps. I do think he’s had that lip ‘lift’ done where they shorten and pull up the philtrum/top lip slightly as there seemed to be stitches below the nostrils.

Nothing personal - I was commenting on the importance of language - in everyday life, in law, in the media - once something becomes a norm then the indoctrination is complete - 'her penis', 'sex change; 'female rapist', 'born in the wrong body', middle-aged men calling themselves 'girls' - there is no end to this.

I know, and I appreciate that argument which is why I don’t think that anyone should be forced to use this type of language, and I strongly believe that it should never be punishable by law to ‘misgender’ someone.

This thread isn’t comparable to Jack Monroes because Jack’s gender identity is just a tiny and mostly irrelevant part of her online exploits, and no one really hates her for her views on women or trans issues alone. Dylan has chosen to make his entire online presence about his gender, pronouns and speaking on behalf of women so obviously the gender wars is what’s going to be what is spoken about on his thread.

the way I see it, anyone who uses female pronouns for a pervert like Dylan might as well just start a rave thread. Even if you don’t like him, calling men like him “she” is giving them exactly what they want and feeding into their delusion lol

I get what you’re saying and agree to an extent, there’s a lot of passion on both sides, but also there are a lot of people who are literally just here to slag off dylan for being a grifting little helmet and couldn’t give a single fuck what pronouns other people use to refer to him…

I don’t agree that anyone should be driven off the thread just coz they choose to use she/her to refer to him. You can hate on dylan regardless of how you call him.
