Anyone wishing to be ‘nice’ should read this article. It’s very good. Apart from the issues mentioned in it my position is that I just don’t like lying and in particular lying because someone else is forcing me to do so. It’s a slippery slope, being forced to deny reality, and it’s already becoming very apparent where that slope is leading to.

The difficulty is if you are left wing and are openly gender critical you are vilified by your peers, you may as well be Hitler in their eyes. This pushes people to find others that agree with them which ultimately leads them to the right wing and and an echo chamber of their ideas. I found myself doing it a few years ago when I was finding YouTubers I agreed with on certain ideas but then definitely not on other points.
People take the piss out of the Brexit gammon stereotype moaning about how you “can’t say anything these days”, but there are some things you genuinely can’t or risk being hounded with abuse. Initially all JK Rowling did was show her support for a woman who’d lost her job and supported biological sex and look what happened there. It’s a really sad state of affairs.

This is where I start to feel uncomfortable about this and conflicted. I do not like the grift, the LARPing, and the denigration of natal women. But looking at Dylan, bodily, he is clearly unwell - not nourished properly and it's got worse since all this started. It reminds me, sadly, of my ex-boyfriend who came out as MtF trans whilst we were together but had anorexia. He is/was actually AGP and not trans.I think it is just a shadow on his leg. But he looks emaciated, his arms are like twigs
To me, Dylan looks like he did, and acts in the same way - though my ex-boyfriend wasn't quite as ostentatious (and didn't do social media) but was obsessed with his image, looking at himself and taking selfies dressed up as a woman. Unfortunately, he also looked like a malnourished man with chicken fillets stuck on his chest, wearing a frock. It never works and it isn't convincing, but I think Dylan really needs an intervention, like others have pointed out. This will not end well.

I think it was the Gender thread I posted this on previously but this focus on mutilation all really reminds me of one cult in particular.
The one I’m talking about was a religious sect called ‘Skoptsy’. They originated in Russia and existed from the late 18th century up until the mid 20th century. Their practices mainly centred around a concept of sexual purity and in order to attain this the men castrated themselves and removed parts of their genitals and the women removed their breasts or nipples and mutilated their genitalia too, often involving the removal of the labia and the clitoris. Often they used hot irons, sometimes knives, and usually it was done without anaesthesia. Obviously, this meant that no children would be born to swell the ranks of the sect so they commonly tried to recruit both children and young people into their cult, who would in turn be mutilated themselves.
The Skoptsy cult more or less died out in the Soviet era, but pockets are believed to have survived in other Eastern European and Baltic countries possibly up until the present day.
Most peoples reaction of hearing about such a cult's practices is one of incredulous horror, but the truth is that their practices were based around a strongly held ‘belief’. And beliefs are often very misguided, dangerous and damaging.
The woman on the right whose breasts/nipples have been mutilated looks no different to me to the women who have had ‘top surgery’. But I bet no one would call what happened to her ‘empowering’.
