Everyone, if you had a drink, let’s get back on it and try and have a dry(ish) April. @SpiceWeasel , hope you enjoy getting back to work. Probably feeling very strange being away. ❤

Awww thanks so much 😊❤ it has been bizarre being off so long again.

Ready for dry(ish) April. I did enjoy having drinks this weekend but my boyfriend and I both agreed we like our sober routine and will not be making it a frequent thing at home again. I have noticed a difference feeling a bit sluggish this morning even though I’m not hungover, just a bit fuzzy and feeling lethargic. Missing that fresh feeling!

I had a few glasses of wine yesterday but I was reaaaally slow drinking them. Definitely a lot less than my previous intake on a bank holiday would have been and hangover-free today!

Got to that nice stage where everything is funny and you want to dance around the room and for once managed to maintain that, whereas usually I push it too far. I was also v conscious that I needed to have my head in the game for Line of Duty so I stopped at 8 😂

Well done to all who survived the bank holiday sober(ish). I had one cider with friends on good friday and the smallest glass of wine at the inlaws on sunday out of politeness. I was totally settled and happy just drinking schloer!!

Also terrified of the hangover. My husband put away about 8 lagers on friday and was sooo rough on Saturday and basically ruined our morning 🤣

I wonder if this could be my life now? Although my sweet tooth is really strong too but then again it IS easter and I have a lot of choc to get through.

I’ve got duck all money this month, this is my incentive. 😤🤣
Same 🤣 we’re moving house and worked out it’s going to cost ten grand just in solicitors, estate agents and stamp duty if we don’t make it before they start back up with it, was like fuckkkkk 😂

it’s been weird starting back up on a dry streak this time, I haven’t even thought about it! It is easy in lockdown though. Will be a lot harder when socialising again. Not looking forward to pub prices either. Was telling someone at work yesterday about how I’d caught a mouse the cat brought in with a big gin glass and an envelope and she went ‘haha trust you to have a gin glass to hand’ took every ounce of strength not to be like ‘I’LL HAVE YOU KNOW.....’ 😂

That £10k could easily go towards house renovations/improvements... it sucks! But at least you’ve saved up enough and moving soon. Very very stressful times though. No way I could do it again. Congrats!

Have a nice weekend, everyone. It’s going to be a very tempting outing for me tomorrow, but I’m in the right mindset.
I wish supermarket chains stopped advertising booze left right and centre!

Oh god I know I was in Morrisons yesterday and it was absolutely everywhere! I've decided that I'm not putting pressure on myself from now to be absolutely tee total, if I do end up having a couple of drinks that's fine but that's the key - just a few drinks and not a massive sesh where I wake up feeling hideous the next day! Now I'm back at work Mon-Fri my days off clash with my boyfriend's which are currently Thursday/Friday and I can't do my job with a hangover 😂

It’s my birthday tomorrow so I’m having zoom cocktails with the girls tonight and I’m going to enjoy them before getting back on the wagon 👍🏻

Nosecco rose tastes nicer than just plain nosecco.

Thoughts from me on this sober saturday night!

Happy birthday!!

That nosecco rose is lush.

I enjoyed the cocktails last night and had one G&T today but now back on the dryish April.
I was bought several bottles of Prosecco as presents though so will stash them away for special occasions!

I’m nearly four weeks without a drink. Don’t miss it at all, feel so much better mental health wise and I can’t see myself going back to it anytime soon!

Hi guys. Understand, everyone is super busy being back at work. iit’s bloody tough going for me. Everyone ( miraculously) has crawled out of the woodwork and want to go out Drinking. Tesco’s selling 50% price reduced whiskey. Sainsbury’s put their best Gin bottles right at the entrance.

But as I said before, I must count my pennies this month. It’s a great motivator. According to Dry Days app I’ve saved a small fortune! last year I could easily spend about £40-£50 on booze! And that’s just Saturday and Sunday I’m talking about. I’m now point blank refusing to pay £7 for a glass of Sauvignon.

@Pinkpen 84 well done for what you have saved so far. It's hard that the pubs are reopening here & people want to go out drinking (not me, it's too bloody cold!). You could go out & order a hot drink/ soft drink which would save you some pennies compared to £7 for a glass of vino...?
I doubt I'll be visiting a pub anytime soon to keep anyway from temptation, but I don't have many friends where I'm living now so it's not like I am missing out on the socialising!
Something that has only occured to me since I have been doing this is supermarkets should only stock alcohol in the actual designated aisle & not have end of aisle promotions.
