@Scorching Skyscraper
She will restrict massively up until the baby is born and afterwards I guess.
it’s her eating disorder that feels the need to constantly mention how little she’s eating and how small an appetite she has, she seemed angry her doctor hadn’t seen her weight as a problem to be honest, she made a comment like “he didn’t seem worried so” and the look on her face said a lot.
I do worry about how she’s going to be, she doesn’t strike me as someone who will cope with a baby and how different her life will be, and I doubt paddy knows much about babies or ED’s. God how will he fit a baby in around his football
the fact she freaked out about the calories in a pot noodle, that she’d just bought an hour earlier

and therefore threw it out speaks volumes.
what was that about the doctor? I can't remember exactly what it was but i do remember her mentioning something about it. didnt she also mention she should/needed to gain a pound a week or something?
hmm yeah i dont know how she will cope. its a big thing having someone rely on you 24/7 for everything. even though she will have help with her parents and paddy i just dont think the reality of it all has really clicked with her fully.
lol football, nights out with friends, trips away and whatnot. hes going to find it hugely restricting i think but maybe not maybe he wants to be a young dad.
yeah that was a hullabaloo over a pot noodle. surely youd check the nutrition info before buying? also the comment about not eating the skinny bars (or whatever they were) all the time..... did anyone say or assume she would do that? its like she feels she has to justify a treat or junk food. i dont have an ed myself so i am unfamiliar with the characteristics of them myself. i know very little of them.
Yeah I remember thinking exactly that, she seemed disappointed that her doctor didn't feel her weight was an issue. I think she said in a video her eating issues and weight loss stemmed from the break up with Jimmy, the weight was really falling off her around that time, but did she have an ED before that? She appears to still have massive eating issues even during the pregnancy and is probably using the pregnancy sickness as an excuse to restrict even more. I'd say she is terrified of gaining weight in her pregnancy and I really hope she is getting professional help with her ED during the pregnancy both with nutrition and with the psychological side of it. I often wondered if her ED was part of the reason she studied nutrition in the first place.
i am pretty sure she did have an ed since her teenage years. i recall her mentioning in a very early video (one of her first i think) that she "had issues with food" but it was too painful to speak about publicly (at that time).
I know someone who knew her when she was a teenager, but that’s a long time ago, they say she didn’t, but she was always a very vain girl and a bit of a bully.
Now it’s very hard to know if she did, and she just didn’t know it herself or wasn’t open about it, personally I think you’re right and it really kicked in post jimmy, same with her depression which she acknowledged herself was because of her situation so she was only going to be on medication short term, I think heartbreak made her drop a lot of weight and that planted a seed.
Her attitude during the pregnancy is so damaging, I was getting sick of her “you guyssss I just have no appetite/it’s 3.30 and I haven’t even had lunch/I can’t eat anything attitude on Instagram stories. It’s all she talked about for a while.
what ever happened this show

You might recognise Aisling Murray from Whelehan’s Pharmacy – well, now she is going star in a new TV programme called #Trending.

that article is very telling about her issue with image.
“Carbohydrates are not a problem but it’s the wrong carbohydrates that will cause obesity. I’m passionate about giving people tips as simple and straightforward as possible. I use the food pyramid to explain. I would always recommend to people to have more fruit and veg than carbohydrates in a day because that’s where you get your vitamins and minerals. They help with your hair, your skin, your figure. ”
if people are going in for nutritional advice, surely its based on health requirments and wanting to lose weight for health reasons not for their hair/skin? i get that figure is a part of it as people want to look well (dont we all) but maybe its just me. personally if i needed help with my diet it would be for health reasons, not aesthetics, they'd be at the bottom of the list.
i think she failed to realise back then (and fails to realise even now) that there is so much more to nutrition than how you look. its quite striking that she equates nutrition to aesthetics. i find that extremely worrying and frankly wouldnt go near anyone who was so obsessed with image and personal aesthetics for nutritional advice.
as for being "head-hunted by L’Oréal". lol no hun.

she probably thought that show was going to launch a tv career for her. from what i remember she had a what, 30 second cameo if even. it was a waste of her time to be honest. all the effort for a cameo??
"a woman of all trades" what trades? can anyone enlighten me please?
the article was about the show and yet she is giving nutrition "advice" in it.
With her job, if she does work for the civil service, they wouldn't be able to just let her go like that. She said she had a temporary contract and then got made permanent. If that's the case she would be entitled to 6 months paid maternity leave. I actually do believe her about her job, if she's working online she could get a lot done in the day and still have time for filming since she doesn't have to commute or anything. I don't know why she'd lie about it, especially with a baby on the way like she's not a really big influencer I don't think she could live off just her YouTube money. Although maybe I'm being too naive seeing as she is lying about living in Dublin when she lives in Mullingar! I fell for that one till reading this thread!
when was she made permanent?? i remember her saying she was waiting to be called for an interview but she never mentioned having to go for or having been for an interview. would they make her permanent without one? i also think she mentioned if she was made permanent it was in a different department to where she was originally?
yeah maybe she would have a lot of time but personally knowing several who are working from home, theres no way they'd have a few hours to film videos, vlog, edit, be on social media and whatnot whilst doing their work. yeah they may have more time, but not several hours.
no uploads last week, no insta (talking) stories and nothing today. im sure shes okay as she was on twitter talking about netflix so cant be anything wrong.
