Absolutely but because it's how we are educated or the model we see around us. It's not a biological thing. Women are not born with the housework gene.

I didn’t say it was a biological thing . It can still be gender based without being ‘born with the housework gene’. Women have always done the housework so men dont see it as their job and this has sadly been passed through generations as it was the norm decades ago, it takes time for that to filter out (if it ever will )
