Your friends and family should really distance themselves from a 32 year old who recommends Owens and isn't joking.As a mixed half white half Jamaican 32 year old, I’m actually so disappointed at the black community and how they are going about this issue. I feel they are just throwing it down everyone’s throats and as previously stated anyone who has a different view point is instantly racist! The community are almost proving the point of the true racist Bigots buy blanket stereotyping all white (or different view point) as racists and saying how bad the UK is. Dressing in black panther style military style scaring older folks?????? Really????? And In my personal experience it’s 9/10 white spoilt trust fund university students always protesting on behalf of the BLM movement ....Now feminism or me too is not flavour of the month!!!

George Floyd was nothing to with the UK firstly so let’s keep our noses out of American matters .....and secondly can you imagine a depiction of the say the James buldger murder ....on America’s got talent .....a totally unrelated freak event that didn’t take place in that country but the country in uproar over it??? Hope that analogy Makes sense..... All lives matter to me not just my black families but my white also .......and next saying that does not deminish the history of the black community or the genuine racism felt today but the more we divide the less chance of ever healing this wound and that is a sad fact!!!

The fact you say white people cannot experience racism just shows who you are as a person. Yet if a comedian made jokes like that about a black person there would be absolute outrage, death threats, removed from all telly and slated by all media. It really angers me when people say that racism cannot happen to white people when in actual fact racism can happen to any race. White people to black people, black people to white people, white or black people to asian people and vice versa.
As for BLM, I wouldn't usually comment on this as it's a touchy subject and I tend to stay out of controversial topics, however I'm all for stomping out racism and people of all ethnicities being treated equally but since the BLM movement have seen a lot of abuse and racism to white people rise but of course the media won't show this and people won't accept this, they only want to push one agenda. Let's not forget that Sue Barker was sacked from her job, her job of over a decade, in place for a black woman. In my view that's not fair or ok, we should be in an age where everyone is equal and black, asians, white people all are treated the same. Not white people losing their jobs to push this agenda. You should get the job based on your skills, not your skin colour.
I'm waiting for the comments frombcertain people to be called racist because my comment will definitely be unpopular on here as I'm not blowing the BLM trumpet. Racism is wrong for sure, but we should all be equal to each other and treat each other respect as humans, not one upping each other. Can I say as a white person that we are ashamed and disguted about what our ancestors did to black people, but we are not to do with that and don't agree to it - you can't be mad forever at something white people did many years ago when white people of today are (mostly) very respectful and accepting of a multi cultural society. Times have changed and if anything it's mostly white people pushing BLM and turning up to the protests.
The racism or whatever you want to call it that white people have experienced these last few months is not okay either, though, and two wrongs don't make a right. I find it unfair that white people can get abuse but it doesn't matter and is fair game because of what we did many many years back.

Asians experience quite a bit of racism and get lots of memes about them and blame for being "dirty" giving us Covid but that's ok as are "bobs and vagene" memes, Muslims get terrorist jokes about them and especially EU country nationals get racist remarks from Brits since we voted to leave, I too have seen plenty of racism comments aimed at black people but then in the next moment the *same* people push for BLM and treat it as an accessory almost.

You miss the point that people are still experiencing racism in 2020.
some quick examples...
like BAME maternity racism or BAME babies who have died at a disproportionate rate to white babies.

How do you know that Alex Scott doesn’t have the skills to do the job? Nice that you referred to her as ‘a black woman’ instead of her name too. She has a degree in sports journalism and broadcasting, captained Arsenal ladies and won multiple trophies including the League, the FA Cup and the Champions League. She was capped 140 times by England and also represented Team GB at the Olympics and is a brilliant pundit.

it’s not a statistic it’s just reality isn’t it - the Internet left leaning echo chamber thought everyone was behind remain and that jeremy Corbyn was going to win the election but in reality the majority of the country do not agree with whatever twitter/protesting students are kicking off about that week. the U.K. is a very tolerant country - it’s fair to say most of us are against racism in any form/towards any race, but anyone thinking a majority are behind BLM as a group are kidding themselves. people didn’t take kindly to the statue fiasco, people do not want to erase our history, as much as George Floyds death was clearly murder the fact a violent criminal was the fuel for this didn’t sit right with most people. It’s not stats it’s just reality - it’s been shown time and time again the Internet/social media does not reflect public mood
