Honestly the restaurant probably said it was 4200 KILOJOULES… which is around 1000 calories.I’m an ex project x member, you probably already know all this but I thought I’d share my experience. Before joining I had never been into fitness, I was a newbie to the gym and needed some guidance. I was following him on insta and I liked his videos and thought id give it a go. What sold me the most was, now I know is Diren marketing strategy, the month I signed up to was £50. Originally it would of been £100 but because bills had gone up for everyone he understood peoples struggles and made it half price.
I was only with him 3 months cos all he cared about was money, he became desperate diren towards to end which was cringe to watch and felt he was very half arsed doing his job. You get a gym routine, a calculation of how many calories you can eat and two calls a week which all his clients attend and you have to ask him a question and he answers in the 10/15mins you have with him. He always says say how important the community was and he wants all his clients to interact with each other but I noticed he actually never got involved in any discussion or liked any posts from us. I actually learnt and got more support from the community than him.
I messaged him a question about my exercise and he took over a week to reply back when I knew he was replying to others. I don’t expect a PT to message straight away but if I’m paying you I don’t expect a week. He was doing his calls from Bali, obviously there’s a time difference and it was late at night for him to do our calls. He would always tell us how lucky we are to have a PT that would still do calls from abroad. Errrr we didn’t tell you to go Bali? And yes, you should be doing the calls as we are payed you?
His emails would become sooo desperate by telling you a roast dinner contains over 4000 calories???!!! Utter shite and that your neglecting your body at the weekends so sign up with me and you can change. He also went onto another market strategy of emailing everyone but with the wrong names so he wanted you to reply back to it to get his attention to then fob you off with his membership prices.
I remember when I had just started he said to his clients don’t a timescale of losing weight as you will be disheartened if you don’t reach it and will give up on fitness which I liked. 1 months later he’s emailing saying JOIN ME AND YOU CAN LOSE 5KG IN 1 MONTH. I completely understand PT need clients which means money BUT you need to put the work in.
He was doing a tour at the time and I noticed he wasn’t selling many tickets so he was offered any one who signs up to Project X gets a free ticket to his show. He emailed offering key worker free tickets as they have worked so hard in the pandemic and this is his way of saying thank you but about 2 months late into his tour? As a key worker I found this insulting as he wasn’t actually giving it to us because of our work, but because he wanted his show to look packed.
Here’s a little reminder of the roast dinner email
You know he can’t read, so…
Christ, talk about the blind leading the blind. He’s a total sham.
