That was one of the strangest decisions they made. It's such a natural thing to read and article then go for comments at the end.

They are very touchy there about covid and if someone questions the status quo no matter how reasonable your point or the data you produce, if it isn't a government scientist or something on the BBC that you link to then they won't think you are credible. Its really sad that its like that on d.s and can result in a warning or possible ban for speaking your truth about how you see the situation with covid 19 and concerns around how its been handled or other observations.

I'm another ex DS poster. I'm new here but you all seem lovely. I was banned from DS after refuting claims made by posters on a Trans thread. My crime was defending Graham Lytham. But I'd been warned many times lol I also fell foul of that crazy cow Whedonite several times. She probably reported me a few times too. She seems like a radical feminist with issues ...or just a troll. Nice to be here x
There's poster over there called Sierra Mist who seems to have set himself up as a covid Oracle, and most of the others treat him like an expert on the pandemic. He gets very annoyed when anyone questions his sources etc

This is the problem. Many posters seem like they just want to project a sanctimoniousness about how good they're being in this pandemic. I sometimes wonder just how much they tell the truth though haha

Someone started a thread about a TV show, telling us where and when it was airing, Macca had to have the first reply "Why have you formatted your post in that way?" Go away you boring poster! I have seen that they check every single thread just to make sure it agrees with what they think Ds should be.

People that get so angry about posting in a thread are so strange, just look at the Freeview Changelog.
Sexbomb, Kevin1960 and Kasg guard the Freeview Changelog likes its some sort of special club and will give you a telling off for even asking the smallest of questions.
Macca and Walterwhite only seem to post in order to criticise other FMs.
Is he really married? The stupid questions he asks on DS makes me think he lives alone. Simple things that you would ask someone in your household or even a friend, before posting on a forum.

Although this forum isn't as busy I find this to be a much better forum than DS.
I've been checking out numerous threads and it's just a much nicer place as I haven't noticed and cliques and nobody constantly snipes at you plus it seems to allow a lot different discussion.

Yes, I have a picture from it stored somewhere in the bowels of my old laptop. I used to pull it up every so often to remind myself what the persons involved looked like.
Because from their posting styles and attitudes on DS you'd think they were all either hot young things or middle aged weathy bastions of knowledge who should never be argued against. Obviously I won't post it, but it was an eye opener to say the least. Well, one hippy-dippy type poster does actually look like the hippy dippy type he appears to be on DS, so fair play to him for honesty.Piercings and face furniture and tie dyes etc,. All very right-on back in the day and presumably graduated to 'woke' these days as I've seen him more recently bashing the royals.No idea why I get sent these things but I also got sent a number of images of a great big woman who was a rabid katie price defender. From her posts she was a young trendy educated career lady who'd had interaction with Price in her various high power career choices (Law, Social Services, Michelin trained chef, Estate agent. In reality she was just an obese scruffy looking rather butch older woman who worked in an office cleaning firm.
People are such fantasists it's hilarious.

I fully agree. I blame the inconsistent moderation in recent years on DS as to why more former posters from there have now moved to here. Not just those who have been banned without any decent rhyme or reason, also those who are starting to realise the whole forum is no longer what they once knew and liked posting on.

Sierra Mist, A.K.A HRguru. Was prolific in the politics forurm and had the same form: Claimed to know it all about Brexit and made predictions that almost always turned out to be absolutely wrong. Used to say they had sources in the Tory party and it was always bull. After wrongly predicting the outcome of the 2019 election they stopped posting on the Politics board and changed their name to Sierra Mist. After a year he tried to make a comeback but everybody remember them and took the piss so they're just enconced in the GD 'rona thread where they get the attention and adulation they obviously deserve. The 'rona thread is another I avoid because, just like a lot of the politics forums threads, it's just the same few posters just going around in circles.
On another note, old DaisyDee appears to be still banned after the fracas in the Classic Corrie thread last week, whilst the instigator AngelMarie87 is back after what appears to be just a week's ban. I hope DaisyDee's not on a permanent ban because she quite pleasant and harmless and had been on the site for 16+ years.

I really like the Off Topic section here, people can seem to discuss whatever they like and not get attacked or trolled plus it's not just constant coronavirus threads like in DS.
Moderation on DS is awful, someone can wish harm on somebody but when I say anything bad about 'The woke brigade' and 'cancel culture' I get a level 4 warning.
By 'woke brigade' I didn't mean minorities I meant the whiny woke people that try and cancel and remove anything or anyone that says and does anything that they don't like or try to change something that doesn't need to be changed like Mr.Potato Head (That's the most recent example)
