I don’t know if you managed to catch it because DS support said they were going to delete it (didn’t go back to check whether they did) but the POLITICS forum had a 2020 award ceremony threadDefinitely! I wouldn’t bother posting there as I would be ignored because I don’t have an unhealthy obsession with male grape storylines and getting two straight male characters together because the posters fantasise about them

James2001 got an award! I don’t think it was exactly “most knowledgable poster” but it was something equally as ridiculous that made me burst out laughing. Oleo Strut got one too can’t remember what for though. Support left a message saying it was going to be deleted because some of the later posts were “toxic” What is the reason for the apostrophe in DS? Do you have proof that DS has an apostrophe?
Confirm what you mean by suffocating. Do you have any proof of these so called cliques and bannings? A long time poster suggests you were there before the revamp but you have not provided sufficient evidence that you were at all.
You say you are sure but without proof this is just your interpretation. Do you have a timeline of when this supposed behaviour worsened and when you say progressively how progressive was it when you used that word?

James2001 should get an award for “Most condescending, left wing and vile forum member”.... he seems to be on dozens of forums and quite frankly I try and avoid him as he’s got nothing nice to say about you unless you agree with him.
Personally I don't like grape story lines (which ever sex they involve) because they are always depressing and I don't find it entertaining.Definitely! They do endless polls on stupid stuff too and the dullest characters are always the most popular!
I just came to the conclusion that it wasn't worth contributing there and I really don't miss it as I didn't like any of the other posters
I used to read DS a bit but got a bit cliquey. Agree about Holby - that's probably the only one I read now.

I saw the awards thread. Moany Liza got one but can't remember what for. Must have been for being a nasty piece of work sometimes and then sickeningly sycophantic by telling anyone who'll listen how caring she is. Honestly, some of that pack are off their rockers. It's like Lord of the Flies on there.

I don’t know why I always assumed Veri was a he? He/she always seemed to have it on for other women and I just assumed it was yet another DS ‘nice guy’.

It says a lot when people want the country they live in themselves to not only fail, but fail big time so they can log onto DS and said “well, I told you so”. It’s at a point where if we had a really crappy summer this year like 2007 where it constantly rained every day, the response would be “well this is what you voted for”. A non-regular would reply with something like 'Last nights episode was rubbish, what has happened to Harriet?' Cue them being totally ignored and them all navel gazing and talking about what they're eating/drinking/wearing. One of the rudest posters I have ever encountered in Soaps is Oldnjaded. Bit my head off when I said Vanessa was over exposed and presented a trillion statistics about her screentime compared to other characters. Just. duck. Off.

I lurked there for years but I’ve only ever posted a handful of times because of the amount of ridiculous arguments other people have on every thread.
A few regular users even ganged up on someone for posting a new thread about
something that happened in an episode.
Literally just a characters name in the title and I think they ended up being banned? Surely you should stay off a soap forum until you’ve caught up on the ones you care about

I remember once venturing into the I'm a Celeb section and there were people going ballistic because the daily thread had been started by somebody different. It got about ten minutes into the episode and everytime somebody tried to get things back on track, another moaner would appear, ranting about how the episode had been ruined because the usual thread starter hadn't got there in time. Talk about first world problems.
Amusingly enough, I checked in the next day, and the sainted original poster was evidently so miffed by the previous day's events they had started the thread something ridiculous like six hours early. Beyond nuts.

This didn’t happen on DS but I once had a load of posters round on me because I “ruined” the ending of Harry Potter for a user that hadn’t read it by not putting it in a spoiler tag. Oh, had she left DS? I saw she was there with a different username a few months back, but I hadn't kept track. I ventured into the politics forum earlier to read some threads today as some form of self punishment, and it's still the same Brexit whining and abusing posters who dare have a different opinion to the majority. There are a lot of awful people on that forum!I believe they basically bullied the autistic poster off the site. She went by the name of mormon girl and later a different name. I find the soap threads horrifically embarrassing.But I do enjoy when they fight with each other over a difference of opinion

I've lurked on DS for years. Did post at one point but got fed up of the way people went on the attack over everything just because they wanted a fight. It's much better just lurking and laughing at all the morons.
Some posters really are truly nasty though. I wonder how the likes of walterwhite, dee123, BanglaRoad, Boo Radley 75 and shackfan haven't been banned. Then you get people like Walter Neff who are just really grumpy about everything and their posts are a real downer.
The politics forum there is just mind-boggling though. The level of hatred for anyone not in line with the hivemind is horrifying and scary. Hearst have a deeply troubling brand of censorship where abuse is okay as long as you have the "correct" opinion.
