Does anyone remember the utterly bizarre poster in General Discussion who used to request images of hard faced celebrities like Patsy Palmer wearing denim jackets?!
That's so true and you don't have to reveal your political leanings for the most rabid to assume that they know which way you've voted, and to claim it as the truth, while wetting themselves with excitement because they think they've found another victim to prey on because the forum is so short of posters with different views. As has been said before, the Politics is page after page of agreement and boring as hell apart from a couple of posters who dare to disagree and still manage to not get banned.
Until you mentioned it, no, but now you have I do vaguely remember this! Does anyone have any links!?
I don’t know if it’s because they got their previous targets banned and have had to turn on each other but there’s now a vicious split between pro and anti Corbiners on there. I predicted that would happen once they ran out of Tory supporters

The soaps forum used to be a laugh but it's ridiculously clique now. Your posts are ignored completely if you're not one of the 'known' posters and your face doesn't fit. If you do have a point - one of them will repost your post in their words after or in another thread and then all the little cling-ons will reply to it there.
The only decent thread now in there IMO is the Holby one!

The hollyoaks thread is a clique of guys lusting after 90% of the male cast... the Emmerdale one, they all seem to be bffs
The EE men seem to be obsessed with male grape as well as lusting over the male cast. One last night wanted to do filthy things to Martin Fowler in great detail (!)

The classic Emmerdale and Corrie forums have to be the most clique forms on there, they completely ignore you unless you are one of the gang. One of them asked about one of the characters and I answered it and got no acknowledgement until about 5 pages later one of the gang almost gave them my word for word answer so I kicked off and told them where to shove their pickled onion crisps or whatever that days snack was and just shove a sarky comment in there now and again.

I always thought veri was a she!? To be fair I haven’t seen them on any other sub forum on DS other than the BB one and that dwindled down in popularity before the mods got trigger happy with the bannings so I’m not sure if they even go on DS anymore and perhaps escaped the wrath of the hammer
I don't mind those guys but find the poster who waa obsessed with Liam Donovan obnoxious.
Nothing more delicious than when the left starts to eat itself on DS. The whole JK Rowling thing is a case in point. Oh that used to happen to me all the time on the EE threads, it's one of the reasons I stopped posting. The main reason I left is because they all moralise too much and don't seem to see it as entertainment. They moan endlessly that a villain hasn't had their come uppance. That used to drive me mad.
They're such a dull bunch of saddos on there it felt like groundhog day as the same boring opinions kept being trotted out:
- The producers should be sacked
- Xxx has been ruined due to current plotline
- Gay couples endlessly shipped even if terrible together like Ben an Callum
- It's really unrealistic and not true to life
- Phil Mitchell (my favourite) should be killed off or go to prison (yawn bleeping yawn)
- EE hates the middle classes because they are always villains
- There's not enough people from different minority groups
- Kim Medcalf should come back as Sam to save the show or some other character from the past

The tedious tit posted on there nearly did my head in. I can guarantee that the same tit will continue to be reposted endlessly.
I think that the majority posting on there now are gay men which is why they are very cliquey

I believe they basically bullied the autistic poster off the site. She went by the name of mormon girl and later a different name. I find the soap threads horrifically embarrassing.

I watch EE to be entertained and couldn't care less about the criminal activity, its a bloody soap!
They all seem to think that they know exactly what a character would do and that the script writers have lost their minds when a 'nice' character suddenly does something bad.
The majority of posters seem intent on wanting to make the show as dull as possible. If they got their wishes most of the cast would be in prison and the 'nice' characters would be left wandering around the square being kind to each other
