I did use the Strictly forum until the last series, but I noticed it was much quieter than it had been in previous years.
Since you mentioned that part of the forum, anyone on here remember Andy_Smith1? Never gave a single opinion of his own but always came to a thread to berate anyone and basically end any conversation where people gave opinions he didn't like. Thankfully finally got the boot in Dec 2019. Also followed me to Twitter but blocked him and he was eventually suspended.

A fair few others on the Strictly forum who I'd rather not interact with in future.

Howdy from a fellow DSer, who now spends more time on here!
Howdy. A question, I'm on my phone, is there a way of jumping to the last post on here as when I click on this thread about digital spy it takes me to page 1 and it would take me ages to keep clicking to the last page

So, if you got a second cheap SIM that's the way to circumvent it? I wondered how they'd tell for people using mobiles!
Surely in my case if I logged in to ds on a new sim, say topped up with £10 and on a new email address, that as soon as I went back to my regular sim on my phone (which is my only source of internet at home) then they'll recognise the phone/sim from before and re ban me?

Maybe someone on here is more tech minded and knows for sure.

Talking of people signing off there posts, who is the American poster on there who finishes with 'God bless' ?
Sweetheart Holly 😇 always banging on about Steve and the Oak Ridge Boys. Gets very cranky if you mock her religion.

The only good thing about DS these days (and when I say good, I mean in an interesting way) is the original 9/11 thread that gets bumped every year. Seriously, if you've not read it, it's worth your time. I think it was only about 10 pages long and it covered the first couple of weeks after 9/11, such was the lack of abundant Internet in those days. It's like a time capsule, a real-time account of the events of that day. Very sad and worth a read.

I'd rather not say at the moment because there are still threads I post on and posters there I like. Not all of them are deranged but DS certainly has more trolls than Scandinavia these days.

( I saw you were looking at ways to contact DS now you've joined the many people banned. If you go onto the DS homepage and scroll all the way to the bottom you should see 'contact us'. That should enable you to send an email to forum support. )
No worries.

Cheers.

It was basically baggage being dragged over from the the "Simon Hate" thread mentioned a couple of pages back, and the Classic Corrie thread where someone complained about too much talking about biscuits or something.

Daisydee made a light reference to the Simon thread and a user (I think called Angel something) kicked off and just started attacking her for it, even telling her to f**k off in one post. It was clear that some beef had gone down between them as Angel just carried on having a go all afternoon. Everyone else (apart from Korner Kabin, who stuck up for themselves after Angel started on them) just stayed out of. I think it's unfair that Daisy got banned because she wasn't really reacting to Angel's posts but hey-ho, that's DS moderation for you.
I love Classic Corrie and often glance over that thread on DS. I missed the argument but couldn't believe Daisy was banned, as she always seemed a nice, inoffensive poster.
It feels very harsh, especially when that thread was maybe company for her, in these lonely times, when people are stuck at home.
