I always used to agree with SULLA’s posts in the politics forum.... we were definitely in the minority there!! I was quite offended when I got my permanent ban, but now I’ve found this place and seen other’s experiences... I’m glad I’m not a member anymore.
Hearst are a big publishing company so don’t forget to boycott any of their publications... they also part own A&E Networks UK, responsible for the TV channels Crime and Investigation, Lifetime, Blaze, Sky History and Sky History 2. So if you want to hit them in the wallet, avoid all of the above!
i used to enjoy Sulla's posts too and he was never abusive. The loonies managed to get rid of him though.
I liked Sulla there is a lot of nasty know alls there now.
Several of us have had the same experience. I think the problem may be that some of the sneering, vitriolic posters are mods themselves. Even appealing to the CEO of Hearst hasn’t worked, probably because they discus the appeal with those very mods. Eventually they might all drown in the vile, acidic broth that is the the politics forum! It used to be a very interesting forum where different views were respected, but if you don’t support Labour, and you voted leave, then you become the devil incarnate!
Eventually they will all disappear up their own backsides. An echo chamber ends in ever decreasing circles.
He had the nerve to be an older white Christian dude and I don't any other group is as hated as that on DS, or wasn't until Leave voters became a thing.
It is quite sad that DS has become such a, I don't even know the word to describe it now. You used to be able to have some light-hearted banter or an interesting discussion without getting pulled up because you'd put an apostrophe in the wrong place or having your post dissected word by word and having to explain what each meant but now it's having the life sucked out of it by people nit-picking posts, hating anyone who is not a member of Momentum or has different views, being permanently offended and having absolutely zero personality or sense of humour.
It's a shithole, not much of a forum when most of the time the comments are one sided only in many cases. As I've mentioned before, so many subjects are banned. Yep, you have the grammar police who love to correct you on simple mistakes. My favourite hangout was Showbiz but now

Anyone got any thoughts on the poster fairyprincess0, who claims to be trans but I strongly suspect is just a fetish freak looking to shock? Some of what they post is so creepy and does a great disservice to actual trans people. I am amazed they've never been banned. In one thread just now they've "joked" they'd be arrested if they donated their laptop to a school.
I've seen their posts in passing and the odd bitchy comment in General Discussion but nothing that's ever really stood out to me personally but I haven't taken that much notice, probably because I've been riled up by something the usual suspects have said. I understand that a lot of the pseudo politicians on DS are also on twitter. Many of them post links to twitter. Mind you, some of them post links from the Daily Mail but only ever with a disclaimer to say that they don't read it because then they'd be out of the loop so to speak! Then others post about the comments in the Daily Mail online so that they can complain about them and appear to be one of the knobhead gang. They love to be permanently offended and outraged. It must be very tiring

Fairyprincess is the poster who claimed to work in Poundstretcher and dressed as a woman in his down time, not at work. If he's hinting he's got child porn on his computer, then that's not something to joke about. He's probably just trying to be shocking. I suspect he leads a fairly dull and lonely life. He described himself as a tall, broad shouldered man, so struggled to pass as a woman. I think he was a cross dresser rather than trans although I may be wrong on that point.
