Oh come on it was a broad brush and part hyperbole. Not all right wingers are baby eating axe murderers and not all gay men are socialist worker salesmen.
“Right wingers use it as a pejorative term because they have dark hearts that don’t like blacks, gays and women”.
Seems presented as a fairly straight forward statement of fact to me. Doesn’t leave much wriggle room.
But anyhow I would like to use the same broad brush strokes that you have availed yourself of. And I would also like to exercise my right to jump straight to the Nazi’s whilst ignoring the 1000s of shades of grey in between because these are the tactics used by the DS crazies.
Now the thing with the Nazi’s was that before they came to power they were already highly censorious. They regularly used to blockade media outlets they didn’t like, smashing presses, encouraging their supporters to boycott and buy “reliable alternatives”. Intimidation, misinformation, outright violence. Maybe if you didn’t take the knee to recognise unification day they would photograph name and shame and get supporters to harass you. They would occasionally dig into opponents past to find things long hidden in order to silence and ruin them. If a new news outlet was to open and the Nazi’s didn’tlike the sound of it they would rail against it like a demented Tasmanian Devil and demand it’s closure even before it had published a single word.
duck it. If the Nazi’s were around today they would be the absolute masters of social media.
Now 90 years on I know exactly which group of people that sounds like. Are you absolutely sure that “the right” are the one’s we should be worried about here?
