I didn't post much so he had a go at me for that. That was,I noticed it about him several times, a usual ploy of his when a "newbie" (a favourite term of his)disagreed with him.

You couldn't have GD and not politics because people would have just started threads in GD they both had to go, as for Showbiz as I said yesterday what sort of a company removes a section that it's parent company is all about.

I use to enjoy reading the classic soaps threads on DS, but, he turned up and completely changed the tone. Boring too! Straker and PhilfromKent pretty much took over classic EE and I couldn't be arsed reading it in the end.

I thought the thread was supposed to be about LBC chat. Not for the same sad old faces to carry on their political grievances.
I asked the same yesterday. It seems it has become much harder recently, but after the shambles yesterday, who would want to join now?
I think James’ problem is that he seems to see the world in purely black and white terms, and either can’t or won’t see shades of grey. It’s basically the good guy (him) against everyone else (“the far right”). He perhaps doesn’t quite appreciate that the more times you use words the less impact they have. Hence when James calls everyone Far Right. And by that I do mean virtually everyone. It has no meaning whatsoever. Congratulations James, you are normalising Nazis.
Politics is what destroyed the LBC Chit Chat thread. Some political chat was inevitable because of the way the station is but it all went south quite quickly and there would be pages and pages of political stuff.There still is. I'm sure some of the political animals will migrate into there.
As for AV forums closing a DS thread, I actually think it's a good idea to have one. I think this one serves a purpose in that we all have a witch and vent our spleens in here and then go about the rest of the forum as normal.
