It's funny how you can be so wrong about the person behind the username. I used to get mistaken for female a lot in the old days.

I always assumed you were/are male. The Tardis reference to Dr Who immediately made me think this, even if I was doing a disservice to female FMs.

Welcome to all the DS refugees.

It's heartening to know more people than I thought have had enough of DS in one way or another. It really is a hell hole representing the worst kind of toxic identity politics with nobody but the most absolute far left welcome, and the moderators fuel that with gusto. Will be interesting to see how the remaining parts of the board survive as I suspect they too won't be around much longer. The rot is too deep in DS to fix it as easily as closing a couple of parts down.

Certain posters tended to dominate threads by repeating the same arguements over and over again for pages at a time. I had a good discussion about a new home delivery/get the staff to do YOUR shopping for you service which got closed becuase an arguement between two posters.

To be honest they will probably end up moderating the new version more as so many of the thickos will publish new threads either because they forgot to borrow the family brain cell or out of sheer defiance.

What will happen is someone will start a thread on a topic and it will descend into whatever they want to argue about so a simple thread in advice about Covid symptoms can escalate into a full on debate on covid. It won't work.

You couldnt even mention that just by going on common sense i said we would be locked down over xmas because the numbers rise in the winter, and that by April the numbers will be so low we should be out of lockdown and getting on with our lives

christ, 5 of them nearly had heart attack that i dared mention things getting back to normal that early, its all about the data for them, when we know the data is flawed it has literally no baring on weather , or even if the person actually died of covid and didnt die and just happened to test positive a couple of days before.

Nope its all copy and pasted BS from a PM and team that have proven untrustworthy from day 1 of the pandemic being known about, they same 5 people posting every day have clearly lost their mental faculties to deal with the time it comes to getting back to normal
