Not really been on DS its all so repetitive and boring. Gone are the giggles and belly laughs, I kept hoping they would come back but because of the strange moderation we are left with people who don't seem to have any sense of humour and would gladly stamp it out of you.

If they gave an amnesty and changed admin then maybe DS could recover. but as it is all the main posters are boring or like walterwhite who adds nothing to the forum except trying to bait others into a ban. Try saying anything other than the narrative there and you are jumped on until you give up posting on a thread.

No point in an amnesty as the current lot would just get you banned again and you would be feeding their desire to do it.

That's why I said new admin is needed as well. Ban those destroying the place with their soullessness

Bangla has shown up at the TalkRadio thread - calling presenter Mike Graham "That wobbling mountain if lard".

Charming. How is this twit allowed to say this?
That old trick makes a provocative statement then sits back getting his rocks off watching everyone bickering amongst themselves over Mike Graham.

How quiet is Sierra these days, sat on his laptop waiting for that one moment when cases rise so he can upload another chart. It must be so frustrating and annoying seeing cases fall everyday trying to justify the stupid "cases won't fall below 20,000 its stagnating I SAID IT'S STAGNATINNGGGG".
Dedicating their forum time to their other personas no doubt.

Aurora13 has become more active.......just sayin'

I've noticed this in the classic soap threads. There's a whole new crowd of posters in there now and the threads aren't fun nor friendly anymore.

The worst advert thread is the same few ads being complained about, Daisy perfume really seems to rile them up.

I've noticed other SM platforms have changed style somewhat because of the lockdown and more/different people using them, but, DS has changed completely. It feels hostile.

That's why I posts less and less there and more and more here. It's like preparing for war every time I visit.

It's the aggression I can't deal with. It's either anger or constant piss taking. I do both but not all day every day!! It's one thing even in politics as that is a very emotive subject but when you get it in every section of the forum it's not fun anymore. I purposely stayed away from the politics forum for that reason but it's infected the whole site.

I do think lockdown has changed things. More people stuck at home with nothing to do apart from be angry at the world and post on forums. Arguing and baiting is how they entertain themselves.

I tried for ages to interact with a couple of extreme posters on the classic soap threads but they actively ignore me unless I make a mistake of any sort, but they happily chat with other posters (who are friendly to everyone). Totally ignorant people. 😡

I've seen that happening lots! The Classic EE thread has become the same 4 people just talking and replying to each other. It's sad, the lockdown meant more people were watching the classic shows, it could have been nice to have new faces join in and stop the hive mind it's become.

I use to enjoy all the tart jokes and Rita drinking jokes on the classic CC thread, it's dull now. Again, the same handful of posters replying to each other with their in jokes.

It really shouldn't be like that on a a thread about a soap opera.

I totally agree with all of this, I used to love the humour in the Classic Corrie thread and even the SOR thread, but lately it's becoming very boring, repetitive, insular, and dominated by the same handful of posters. My posts go largely ignored though I do get a few that get the thumbs up button so I know they've been read! The Casualty thread is the same, if you aren't one of the clique, your posts get ignored unless it's someone to disagree with you or pull you up on something. I think it's got worse in the last couple of months.

The SOR thread drove me mad! They were arguing about probate for pages and pages, and it was something that was easily googled. All the SOR's about covid restrictions and mask wearing became tedious too.

I saw that. All the probate stuff was mad. People don't seem to get that it's a soap. If they waited in real time for when stuff would be done, storylines would go on forever. It's like the mask wearing thing. I think it's good the soaps acknowledge it but for practical and dramatic purposes the soaps need to not always have them on. They also go on about pubs being open when it was all filmed before lockdown happened. Give the producers something to work with!!

They take things very seriously over there. The only thread I like there now is the Corrie Spoilers Thread.

Oh that just went round in circles! I'll about it did all happen ridiculously fast, but it's not real life so they can have a bit of artistic licence to make the storylines move on.

I don't get why posters are so obsessed by who the current producer is (this is more common in the EE threads) and how they get so fixated on bringing back particular characters.

I for one do not want the return of Janine Bloody Butcher!!! She's a done character! The Roxy and Ronnie obsession is mad too. There's a fm in the uk neighbours thread that has completely taken over, and he seems obsessed with Dipi and making out Aaron is abusive.

It's bizarre how quickly it's changed.

It used to be more fun back in my November_Rain days. It's far too serious now but something keeps dragging me back there.

I see the furry numpty James2001 has got himself entrenched in the Donald Trump thread.
I see he has stopped crying about missing the furry convention last year finally.
