There are actually some (not just on DS) who think that way. I remember one poster in the Coronavirus thread proudly proclaiming that she hadn't brought any non-essential items in the shops since early last year, which is way OTT.You go into a supermarket to buy an essential item, eg bread. They also sell pot noodles, and you like them. Are you supposed to ignore them? I don't consider going in specifically to buy PNs an essential item.

carl.waring is terrible for multi-quotes. He's one of the few people I won't ever respond to on DS.there was someone called Kwynne on the ED thread , who would pour over every single comment and answer them all the next day, usually after watching the episode so he could then say to people "no you are wrong" i think he thought he was being clever, but he wouldnt use multi-quotes , he would answer them all individually, so the next day you got pages of waffleusually acerbic with no sense of humour

Because ive got quite a few friends on DS i always pictured DS being a room in a pub or something and you were chatting to them minding your own business, now i would never walk past someone and butt in to make a snarky comment in that situation, as one its rude and two if you pick the wrong person you have trouble, the fact people like him has the utter ignorance of his own personality makes me wonder how many people have punched him irl, my guess is he isnt like it in real life, otherwise he would have learned by now, so i think he uses the hiding behind the keyboard as a way to make himself feel superior, which just means in real life he is an utter **** and coward.
You arent allowed to put people in their place on DS though, yet they are allowed to be utter ****s to people with no real consequence, which really annoys me, another reason i had to come away and leave DS
