Aah, I remember you!Yes that is me! The profile is still there I have no idea what the passwords would be and it’s linked to an old work account so it will stay unused. I thought after that length of time they would have had a clear out of dormant users but it’s still there! Great nostalgia seeing this thread.
Maw was on there as well and PamelaL.I quite liked the DS thread when it was active, although I remember being slagged off for no valid reason for a post on DS so had to defend myself. I kept my DS and DTV user names different so I didn't get in trouble for stuff I said on DTV.
I think the only DTV user I remember was Debarkle.
Was he the main doxer on DTV? Crossing him was the worst thing you could do.Who was that creepy guy who prowled DTV and DS, trying to create a spreadsheet of prolific forum users, purely so he could dox people? Does anyone remember that? It went on for a while and then he posted a video of himself in Manchester (supposedly meeting up with a forum member) and he had a voice like Allan Carr on helium.
Yeah, can't remember his actual name. He was a sad sack though, appeared to spend all his time trying to track down real life identities of forum members - quite what for, I don't know. Was he the main doxer on DTV? Crossing him was the worst thing you could do.
Fucking hell, what a grassing cunt! If they really did, that is.Yeah, can't remember his actual name. He was a sad sack though, appeared to spend all his time trying to track down real life identities of forum members - quite what for, I don't know.
I do remember having a conversation with someone on DS who threatened to report one prolific poster to her employer. She posted only on the X Factor fan threads, from 9am until 5pm every weekday. Apparently she let slip the name of her employer and this person was going to email the CEO with screenshots of her online activities while she was (presumably) meant to be working. I'm not sure whether they did - it all got a bit too Black Mirror for me and I stepped away sharpish.
Thomo, explains everything, total bellend. All the posts from 9am to noon in Covid thread have been removed due to a dispute between Thomo, Jamesp26 and Harry_Fletcher basically Harry_Fletcher made some posts Jamesp26 and Thomo mocked him with Harry saying grow up blah blah blah
I would like to think it was that, but no, she's just being an obnoxious annoyance. She knows English well enough when it suits her.Diesigal mentioned a couple of times on there that she grew up and lives in the Republic of Ireland. From time to time she used quote names and phrases that she'd hear voiced in the vernacular. I haven't been on the LBC thread to see, but maybe it's something to do with that.
Ok to be fair, I rarely ever posted on there. Guess I joined in on a quiet day. Her /his/their summaries were very spot on.Yes diesigal did used to post, but in fairness, she started up the thread and was the one that kept it going mostly. Her consistent, regular postings were really what built it up. I think because she got used to being the driver of the thread, that maybe it became a habit to post more accurate summaries of people's previous posts. I'm not sure there was ever any blanking of posts though. Mind you, most of my posts on there never seemed to receive much of a response generally, so I think I must have been on a different wavelength.
James30 is treading a very fine line with his latest comments about Steve.I see over on the Steve Allen thread they are accusing Steve Allen of being homophobic just because he dared to view some negative views on certain gay characters. In these days of Identity politics I don't suppose they could possibly comprehend that it might just be the old fashioned view that he doesn't like the gay community being stigmatised by some of the more flamboyant personalities stereotyping gay characteristics.
I didn't realise until after he died, but the actor John Inman apparently used to receive a lot of resentment from the gay community for his Mr Humphries character in Are You Being Served? It was seen as too stereotypical and a send up of the gay community.
Of course over on DS there is no nuance of views. With the PC brigade in force it can only ever be either one extreme or the other. God help if anyone should deviate from that.
I can actually imagine her saying that.A real annoyance about Digital Spy is that it takes a while for a thread to get going. A new thread which sounds quite interesting will normally go like this -
What's your favourite Pot Noodle flavour?
Another pointless thread (Macca)
None! Next!
Why do we need this again? It was discussed at length in 2006
I don't eat Pot Noodles because I once slept with a guy that asked if he could cover my body in noodles but I didn't want my designer gear to be stained (Tanya)
Where is your evidence that people actually like Pot Noodles? (Jurassic Mark)
By Page 2 the discussion will eventually get going.

Let's not forget the inevitable, it's cheaper and nicer to make your own noodle dishesA real annoyance about Digital Spy is that it takes a while for a thread to get going. A new thread which sounds quite interesting will normally go like this -
