They are a fantasist through and through with their 'engagements' and 'colourful' life stories.

They don't seem to constantly car crash around the forums like they did for the first year or two they were posting, but I always suspected they were a staff member's secret account because I've never seen one person being able to totally dominate an entire online message board like they did.

One user who I’m convinced is no longer with us is Cessna. I know he was approaching retirement age (Or was already retired) because I recall him mentioning that he had left School some “60 years previous”

He hasn’t posted since 2021. So it makes you wonder.

If I’m thinking of the right person, Cessna is/was very very old. After reading one of his posts around three years ago, which mentioned a memory of his from something like 1935 or so, I was shocked to see the year he mentioned, and I asked him how old he was. iirc he said he was 89 and I was gobsmacked! I thought it was really cool cos I don’t think I’ve ever interacted with anyone (not just online but in real life too) of such a grand age before.

Not sure if he’s still around. Hope he is, but being so elderly, who knows.

I think she used to always say that the father of her kid was a one night stand, who she was never in love with (or was it the other way around?) But she definitely had a thing for Asian guys who used to treat her like shit, beating her up and all sorts IIRC.

I do remember her once saying an ex of hers (Asian) was in prison. For robbery maybe? Anyway, she gave away so much detail that someone found the newspaper articles about the case and posted them. Let's just say he was not a good looking chap (his nose was massive) and he got the piss ripped out of him big time I think she had a massive flounce after that and didn't return.

CrazyChris was disgusting. He got banned for telling another poster he hoped they got cancer and died. A well-deserved ban for once.

I think Occy has been banned. I know people got annoyed with him/ her but they clearly had issues with theit written English. The LBC thread were downright nasty to Occy. But then they’re all a bunch of vile, arrogant twats. No wonder the thread is slowly dying.

I was on DS but was a prolific lurker, although I did occasionally post. I remember on general discussion someone quoted Tanya1982 and gave her a piece of their mind. I then quoted it and added a few extra of my own thoughts. That gave me my one and only warning.

Just logged into check and it was @Notorious PIG / Victoria Sponge that I’d quoted! Both of our posts were removed.

If memory serves me correctly it was this post that triggered it. Her usual made up crap pretending to be mega posh and wealthy. I’ve scrubbed my name in the warning screenshot as other posts have identifiable info (in 2008!)

I could never understand why that full-of-shit 1982 person was allowed to say and do whatever, and then get everyone banned as a result. But when others mentioned she/he/it could’ve been a secret moderator, I think that could be the only logical explanation.

A random memory, I remember I made a passing comment about Balmain jackets, not in direct response to anyone in particular (in a thread about someone hoarding pasta and rice in their house during Covid19 period) and - lo and behold - 1982 just HAD to mention she/he/it had one (or at least one). It was one of many ‘anything you can do, I can do better’ type moments from that utter fantasist

edit: oh, and don’t forget 1982 was a successful model too!

Anyone remember Bulletguy? Nasty piece of work, hated women. He was one of the protected ones and got away with all sorts until he finally copped a ban. It was hilarious. He and some other old fart were planning to drive hundreds of miles to meet up and settle an argument they were having. Something incredibly banal to do with traffic rights of way I think. They went on and on for ages, about where to meet and when and Bulletguy began to weasel out of it, demanding that the other bloke pay his petrol. They both ended up with a ban. That was a good day on DS

I’m amazed I never got a ban in all my years there, with the batshit moderation. I got into plenty of arguments with various people. I was JulesF there.

Is Stoatie from DS on here?

There were a couple of rival spinoff sites to the DS forums, and they were rivals. I was on Diabolik TV as well, and Stoatie was too. There was also MAW who I chatted to a lot, who was Gazwah on Diabolik. Not the same as Gazwah who posted on DS and was a bonkers conspiracy theorist.

Years ago around eight of us met up in a pub in central London one Saturday afternoon. I’d never noticed Stoatie’s posts so wasn’t aware of him then, but in person he was a really nice bloke. As were all the others I met. It was a really nice and fun day out, we had a good laugh! Not sure if Stoatie is on here or not. Hope he’s doing well wherever he is.

Does anyone remember Ryan Abbott... a more recent poster. He posted quite a lot. He then changed his username to something more anonymous, before disappearing one day.
He was gay and always talking about the celebs and soap stars he fancied. He had a thing for Martin Fowler off EastEnders.
He used to post photos of himself too.
He seemed to have a troubled life, I think he was a carer for his mum who suffered from depression, and they had up sticks and move away after he was held at knifepoint by a neighbour.

There was also that person on the General Discussion.. Enzo something...? who would asks dull questions all the time such as "which toilet roll do you buy?". I thought he was harmless, but a lot of other posters were horrible to him.

There seems to be a lot of miserable old men on the Broadcasting and Radio/Podcast sub forums.

There's a few strange people on the Soap forums.
Mo Mouse? Always talking about their wife/partner called Geraldine? Is Geraldine a figment of their imagination?
Purves Grundy is pretty funny.
JB is an odd one... had a thing for Lauren from EastEnders and called her "My Lauren".

There was a person who made a thread a while ago calling everyone on the forum cunts, and seemed to target Scrabbler in particular for being cliquey.

There are two posters I can think of who have a high post count, but don't say much of substances. They usually just comment things like "definitely" and "totally agree". Don't want to name them incase they have some vulnerabilities.

I once created a thread in that section asking about my old Ariel that was attached to the outside of my house. Apparently I used the wrong terminology and they defiantly let me know about it

Ohhhh I missed that completely, I had no idea his identity was exposed!

Sounds like she was one of many women my age range who had a “bAd bOy” fetish in the late 90s-mid 2000s and learned the hard way when they ended up alone with a baby and the guy just didn’t care. I had many a friend/acquaintance who suffered the same.

Tanya1982 is on DS too. If a major storyline is happening in a soap or a TV drama or even an event in the news, the same thing has happened to her but 10 times worse.

If I was to believe everything that has happened to her she would have lived the life of 20 different people

FairyPrincess admitted to having a nappy fetish and getting excited when wearing/filling one near a playground, IIRC. They linked it to how their upbringing issues. They are trans and hide behind that for moderator protection - the nappy post got deleted and everyone acted like it had never happened aside from a few posters. It was in a thread about someone who got fired for work for wearing nappies, fetish content on social media and refusing to use a loo, I think.

FP was creepy to me long before that, they've always radiated bad vibes, but DS truly became a haven for the disturbed and dangerous in that moment.

I haven’t got to the end of the thread so apologies for jumping in, but I was “live” on that thread as it happened, and as it stands today, is about 8 pages light of removed posts (not just FPs but the ones reacting in horror to it). It was one of the most depraved things I’ve ever read and couldn’t believe other people (including me) were getting warnings for calling it disgusting, rather than warn FP for sharing his pedalo fantasies.

I’m sure I mentioned it on the old DS thread that’s on here somewhere
