Does anyone have a Birkin? They look to be quite heavy too.

Thank you. I will take a lookI recommend the Bayswater tote bag for work.
I’m just so worried about ending up with a fake with second hand now. I bought all my designer bags second hand (except my mulberry) but fakes are literally rife I just don’t trust anything anymore. I have nothing against if someone wants to buy a fake but don’t then try to sell it as a genuine. It’s really putting me off buying now which is such a shame. Like looking on vinted 90% of designer bags are all new with tags…. Like surely that’s a red flag for a fake cause who is buying a £2k + bag and not even taking the tags off then selling it???I went a little OTT in recent years getting LV bags, mostly monogram and mostly old/used but now I feel like a have a bag to suit every occasion and every outfit so I’m taking a break from that.
My last two bags I bought in January, two used Alma bb’s in epi leather. One red and one light pink. Both superb condition. Epi leather is very durable.
I’m mostly getting secondhand bits of fashion jewelry, mostly Ferragamo. I would like some old Tiffany pieces. And I’m into blazers at the moment, I got a gorgeous white-ish/silvery/royal blue patterned Etro blazer, and bronze Armani (one of their old, cheaper spin off brands) blazer with black floral detail.
So basically, anything luxury/high end brand I’m getting secondhand (and the rest is Shein!).
How did you get one if you don’t mind me asking - I’ve heard so many people say you need to buy X amount of items from Hermes before they offer you one of their choice. Wondering if it’s just better to get one online (if I can ever save up enough money!)Yes, I have a 30 cm and a 35 cm, - the 35 cm is also too heavy imo. I’m thinking of selling it, but I want to wait until the bigger sizes are more desirable again to get a better price.
Where’s the best place to look for older Tiffany pieces?I would like some old Tiffany pieces.
I’d personally use any Japanese sellers (stores) on eBay (I get almost all my secondhand stuff from them). A lot of them offer free delivery worldwide. But you should check what your tax free allowance is to your address, so you can factor in total cost and see whether it’ll be worth it. My tax free allowance is 800 USD but for UK addresses for example, it’s much less, around £150 or something like that.Where’s the best place to look for older Tiffany pieces?
It is a minefield. I mostly only buy from reputable sellers from Japan but on a handful of occasions I’ve spotted some definite fakes for sale. So nothing is 100 per cent safe when it comes to secondhand. If I’m unsure of something I just won’t buy. And I wouldn’t buy secondhand newer LV models because some of the newer fakes can apparently be really convincing.I’m just so worried about ending up with a fake with second hand now. I’ve also reported fake Mulberry bags on Vinted but they don’t seem to care.It is a minefield. I looked at Vinted a few times and I was shocked at all the blatant fakes for sale being passed off as the real deal, so I stopped looking on there.
My one and only (probably forever) Chanel bag I bought from an in-person auction house (who also do appraisals and authentications) in Germany so I trust that.
How do you know which sellers on eBay are legit or not? Do you have any names to look out for?I’d personally use any Japanese sellers (stores) on eBay (I get almost all my secondhand stuff from them). A lot of them offer free delivery worldwide. I’ve previously bought from Boom2hanten, Brand Off Tokyo, Brand_jfa, Brand Street Tokyo. They have sold loads of items (as in tens of thousands to probably 100s of thousands) each, and their feedbacks are in the high 90-per cents. That’s really about as trustworthy as you can get, but still always be cautious as the odd fake item can slip through the net (I dont specifically recall seeing any fakes on any of those eBay stores though). How do you know which sellers on eBay are legit or not? Yes - 40cm in Clemence and it is heavy, but not unmanageable. I do like big bags though (and I'm apparently quite strongDoes anyone have a Birkin? They look to be quite heavy too.
Ah, so if a product is £235It’s £135 and then you have to pay 20% import VAT on top.
I’ve had one about a year, I have used it pretty much every day, I use a bag liner and carry my whole life around in it - still looks pristine, no sign of wear at all.Does anyone on here have a Goyard St Louis tote? I’ve been thinking of treating myself as I love the green one in particular and I love the floppy look and think it would be perfect for travel.
I’m not too bothered about the comments I’ve seen during my research that they look cheap (personally I disagree!), but I’ve seen a few concerns about the wear and tear. Any insight would be useful![]()
I’ve got one thats about a decade old, it has a few small holes so I’ll have to replace it soonish. I’ve used it loads and treat it pretty badly though.Does anyone on here have a Goyard St Louis tote?
