Hey, has anyone ever sold anything with designer exchange? I’ve got some barely worn loubs and some off white trainers in decent condition. Both with all the box etc included. I’ll never wear either again but I really want some nice white heels for my wedding, thinking that could be a way to fund them.

I was thinking of Louboutin Jane Mules or Hermes Oasis sandals. Does anyone have any similar styles to these they would recommend?

I don’t think you will get much for them from Designer Exchange. Have you had a quote? Unfortunately shoes don’t hold a lot of value, unless they are a currently desired style? You’d probably get more on eBay, I’ve had the most success on there when selling designer shoes.

I haven’t sent the photos to them yet, I was thinking they may give a low ball for them. I’ve put the loubs on Vinted but no luck so far, will give ebay a go thanks!

Just as an example I was offered £40 for some brand new in box Jimmy Choos by Designer Exchange. I sold on eBay for a decent price. I don’t find Vinted is good for selling shoes either, people don’t want to pay anything that isn’t ridiculously cheap 😭at least they look in great condition, so hopefully that wil help.

I'd try one if the designer FB pages. There's some really good selling sites on there (woc). Or maybe consignment with Your Preloved Stories on Instagram.

I have I sold some Yeezys to them and got a reasonable amount. A bit less than if I’d sold them myself but I couldn’t be bothered with the hassle and risk of scammers trying it on!

I had another item rejected though because they said they couldn’t find the made in stamp so didn’t think it was genuine which I’m still miffed about because it 100% is 🙄

Is the completely pink Longchamp available anywhere in medium? The one that has pink handles. Can’t find it anywhere and have a sudden need for it for work 🤣

Sorry if this has already been asked before but I have decided to clear out all my tat in stages and replace it with nice once off pieces that I can build on. I would love to start with designer belts for jeans / trousers and would love if you could recommend some nice timeless belts that would look good. Any help would be appreciated as it is a minefield out there 🙈

I know this’ll go down like a sack of tit but designer belts are the anthesis of timeless/style/quality oftentimes, they’re often the lowest point of entry into a brand so super faddy, you can carbon date someone by which belt they’re wearing. I’d honestly go for a lovely leather belt made by a small / independent leather goods company over something with a logo belt buckle. Unless that’s what you’re after then go for it!

I am pretty new to fancy stuff myself. I find reversible belts a really good idea, it’s like two belts for the price of one, and it takes up less space. I have a Valentino Garavani 20mm reversible black/tan belt with gold hardware. And a 40mm monogram/black reversible belt with gold hardware. I get a lot of use out of both. Looks nice with jeans, trousers and even on dresses.

My husband has a lovely Ferragamo reversible belt. The quality of the leather is superb. I’d steal it off him but it’s too big, so I wouldn’t mind one myself. If they made one in a beige/white combo (which they might but I’ve not checked properly yet) I’d be interested in that.

Anderson’s belts are lovely. Great quality and not too trendy. Me and my DH both have one, they aren’t that expensive either. You can get them at NAP.

edited to add I’ve just given myself a slap for writing DH instead of “husband” 😩

No, I love to have everyone’s feedback & complete understand what you are saying @heretoreaditall2019. Will definitely google small independent leather shops. Thank you also @Notorious PIG & @BlairWaldorf86 for the recommendation I can’t wait to start researching your recommendations. Looking forward to starting my journey with everyone’s help and advice ❤

I have a Coach reversible belt which is a few years old now but still looks great. It's a really good about how quickly something with a logo could date.

Does anyone know of any resellers that buy/sell clothing?

I have a Gucci skirt and a moncler coat to shift, would rather sell them to a reseller than risk it myself and get scammed (especially with the coat!). Designer exchange rejected the skirt a while back so they can shove it 🤣

Does anyone know if anywhere still has the original Puzzle with the feet? I’m searching but I feel like I missed the boat. I’d also be open to second-hand if anyone knows anywhere authentic.

I’ve seen a few come up on Sign of the Times, second hand of course. I think they are pretty common on the resale market. I don’t think you can buy them new anymore. Have you checked their outlet store at Bicester?
