Re handbags.

I'm tempted with a preloved Bayswater for work. To carry laptop, phone, lipstick, the essentials really. Has anyone got any pros/cons over these please?!

I'm currently using an Aspinal Tote. Thanks!

I have a dilemma; purchased a pair of Le Chameau wellies from the outlet section of their website, they’ve arrived and they’re a little snug across the top of the foot, I could do with sizing up, but the entire outlet has vanished from the site now.

The boots with boot bag and wax stick as a bundle came to just £58, which for that brand is an absolute steal! So should I keep them because it was such a ridiculously low price, even if they’re a little tight? Should I maybe sell them on? Or should I return them and just pay out full price to replace them with something I’d be happier with?
You should always size up with wellies and imo boots in general. I agree with the other poster send them back. You could always contact the website and ask if you could swap for a larger size

I think YSL is underrated 😊
I’d love the sac de jour in baby in tan! Or the Manhattan tote. If anyone has either, I’d love to know if they’re heavy to carry?

To be fair there’s not been anything fresh out for ages. I’m quite uninspired too! Wouldn’t know what to buy at this current moment in time
I know, I feel the same 😩 all the influencers now wear Hermes, and I’m not seeing anything that I’d like

I think the issue for me is quality. I’ve found a lot of mid price bags don’t have the quality they used to, or are made in Asia. Admittedly I have fell back into love with mulberry, despite them making some bags in China.
I like Mulberry, the leather looks really sturdy and good quality. I’ve been looking vintage Balenciaga city bags, but it’s more a casual vibe, not an everyday staple. Especially for work

Please can someone help me find a new workbag? Criteria are it must zip up / fully close as I have to commute on the train and walk in the rain, be big enough to chuck all manners of things in including an A5 notebook and have pockets for bits so that I don't have to constantly rummage for things. It seems to be impossible to find anything vaguely stylish that meets this. Happy to spend up to £2-3k and will use everyday rather than keep for best. Thanks
In terms of comparments I’d say no bag really does this. Your better of buying those bag liners with individual pockets. I second aspinal for a good quality leather bag

Both my Tiffany bracelets have broken in the last 2 days...one I've had to have repaired twice (2014 & 2022) and the other I got in 2018. Both hearts have vanished. Minimum £70 per bracelet for repair...again.
Tempted to cut my losses because this is BS. Any recommendations for something dainty to replace because I'm fuming lol
That’s a dose! I agree with you that it’s time to try a new type of bracelet! Personally, I think the Messika Move range is really cute! Do you want Sterling Silver or are you thinking of going for gold? A bangle might be practical as they tend to be indestructible!

Hi can anyone please recommend a decent quality leather spray to protect my cream leather Gucci bag which I actually bought months ago and I have been too scared to use … I’m frightened of colour transfer. I was just about to purchase one on handbag clinic but thought I would ask here first

Has anyone got a Demelier New York bag? I want a new bag I know they are quite different but I'm deciding between a Mulberry Alexa and a Demelier.
They’ve been on my radar for a while but tbh I don’t particularly love any of the designs enough to pull the trigger. My favourite is the new Hudson tote in chocolate suede which looks really lovely. I’ve heard the quality isn’t amazing but they also apparently do lifetime repairs. I saw a TikTok recently where someone bought a damaged bag on Vinted and then, after contacting Demellier about a repair, got it replaced! Which bag are you thinking?

As for Mulberry, they priced me out years ago and I just can’t spend four figures on a bag. I really like the new Maggie bag but it’s over £1000 FFS.

What do we all think about these Chinese TikTok’s ‘exposing’ the luxury market. Apparently the majority of the bag is made in China and finished off in Italy so it can be sold as ‘made in Italy’? And the prices are ridiculously inflated? I know they would be inflated some amount but not to this extent.

Hello, does anyone on here have the LV pochette metis please? I tried one in selfridges this week and really liked it, I am hoping to buy pre loved from addicted to handbags but wondered if anyone has it and had any comments?! I’ve never tried a designer item on in store before so was a bit nervous but the lady was lovely and not judgemental, I wouldn’t have been able to buy it yet as I’m waiting to find out what my my bonus is going to be 😂 but daren’t say I was going to go down the pre loved route!

Not designer, but didn’t anyone buy any of the Sienna range at M&S? I bought a few items that I collected yesterday and I’m really happy with them except the long jeans could be a tad longer.

Just in case anyone is interested, YSL have had some price decreases on a few of their items. The Loulous have all gone down. Interesting what’s happening with them. I did think their price increases were excessive.

I’ve always used the Collonil Water Stop spray, it used to be sold in Mulberry but I think they make their own now. I’ve used it on all of my leather bags and it’s been fine. I haven’t had any colour transfer either. Handbag clinic sounds like it should be fine too though.

I haven’t sent the photos to them yet, I was thinking they may give a low ball for them. I’ve put the loubs on Vinted but no luck so far, will give ebay a go thanks!
Just as an example I was offered £40 for some brand new in box Jimmy Choos by Designer Exchange. I sold on eBay for a decent price. I don’t find Vinted is good for selling shoes either, people don’t want to pay anything that isn’t ridiculously cheap 😭at least they look in great condition, so hopefully that wil help.

I find quite a few bags don’t seem to have zips and I get that this is a design choice but I worry about any items just falling out. I was looking at the Hermes Picotin (not that I could afford it) and it has a wide opening but only one strap to close it. Doesn’t look very secure!
