Both my Tiffany bracelets have broken in the last 2 days...one I've had to have repaired twice (2014 & 2022) and the other I got in 2018. Both hearts have vanished. Minimum £70 per bracelet for repair...again.
Tempted to cut my losses because this is BS. Any recommendations for something dainty to replace because I'm fuming lol

All of this screams overstock to me, so you’re at the mercy of the Gods there so personally I wouldn’t wait. If you’ve got your heart set on a bag then buy it, you can game things a bit with the returns window, and just enjoy the bag!

This just came up on my FYP, quite taken aback at just how many Polyester dresses she managed to find I understand there can be some benefit to a small % of it to give structure in outerwear, but there’s no reason any of these dresses need to be >50% polyester, surely?! Some are 100%

I'm not surprised, and frankly that silk dress was quite reasonable. Long silk dresses will cost hundreds, so a high street polyester version will usually do the job for occasion wear. I agree that those synthetic ones she was looking at were wildly overpriced, however.

I’ve previously bought from Boom2hanten, Brand Off Tokyo, Brand_jfa, Brand Street Tokyo. They have sold loads of items (as in tens of thousands to probably 100s of thousands) each, and their feedbacks are in the high 90-per cents. That’s really about as trustworthy as you can get, but still always be cautious as the odd fake item can slip through the net (I dont specifically recall seeing any fakes on any of those eBay stores though).

In your previous comment you said ‘My tax free allowance is 800 USD but for UK addresses for example, it’s much less, around £150 or something like that’ - probably a dumb question but just to be sure, does that mean if I buy anything abroad that is over £150 (or whatever the tax free allowance is) I have to pay tax on top of the price of the product?

I find quite a few bags don’t seem to have zips and I get that this is a design choice but I worry about any items just falling out. I was looking at the Hermes Picotin (not that I could afford it) and it has a wide opening but only one strap to close it. Doesn’t look very secure!

Yeah I don't like bags without zips or a proper flap that closes.

Also don't like chains for a long strap, so many nice bags I'd like to get ruined by a chain.


Considering getting strathberry mosaic next it doesn't have a zip haha but it has a flap and a magnetic clasp

I’m looking at buying an LV speedy for a bit of a harder wearing handbag (rather than something leather). Looking at the Damier ebene but struggling with size… 25/30. Any recommendations? Would like it to be able to fit hat and gloves in the winter plus my kindle, wallet etc. and then maybe a lighter layer in the summer. Having a baby in the next few weeks too… so wondering if the 30 is just more practical?

Thank you. Yes, I was thinking of a small bag for just wallet, phone, keys for day sightseeing but I’ve just found the measurements & think it’ll be too tight. I think they’re so cute though & I know I’ll buy one anyway

I absolutely love mine - it fits a phone, a card wallet, keys, a lip balm and some tissues. Totally lightweight. I use it all the time!

It’s worse than that. It used to be 24k gold plated, and now it’s just gold toned.

I agree that most luxury brands are expensive to the point of ridiculous now. I splurged this year on a LV and I’d love more but it’s nearly impossible to justify.

Ok lovely people I need some ideas! It’s my 30th this year Mr HoneyStar has asked if I want to pick out some jewellery (or at least give some strong hinted suggestions)…what would you all recommend? My first thought was a tennis bracelet but would love to know if anyone has a sentimental piece/piece of jewellery they received for a milestone that they still love?

I was out for dinner yesterday with some friends, one of whom was wearing a tennis bracelet she got for her 40th! It was stunning! She just wears it on special occasions, but that’s probably cos she works with children! I’d say “go for it” if you want a beautiful bracelet! Unlike earrings or a necklace, you get to look at it as often as you like when you’re wearing it!! A bangle might be “easier” to wear on a day-to-day basis. Keep us posted please!!!

Does anyone have a Le Pliage pouch? I’m looking at it online for a city break I have coming up but wondering how practical it’ll actually be. I’ll buy a strap to wear crossbody but as there’s not a store near me I can’t look at it to work it out.

Are these the small make up bags that went kind of viral being worn crossbody? I’ve seen people wearing them and they’re really small. If you’re a small bag person it’ll be fine, but personally I can’t travel light so I think they’re pretty useless.
