The defence are trying to push the cult angle but I am not convinced, i think it was him.
although there are some things from the documents released that are strange, the lack of blood on the clothing if it was such gruesome murders how does that happen.
I hope we get to hear from prosecution soon.

I've scanned the defence doc and it's very clever. They imply that he couldn't have done everything alone but I think it's plausible because the girls would have been terrified and cooperate.

Possibly killed in or near the creek which would wash the blood away?

I think the defence are hoping people don't remember that he had a gun. Even in the video abby said gun. Two 13 year olds would 100% comply with a man who had a gun.

It is clever though. They make it sound like a story which can add doubt. I wish they had redacted the information about the girls death though. We don't need to know that. The court only needs to know that. I think that was strategic on their behalf too

Also his phone calls to wife admitting it, they are trying to get this thrown out too.
The time it took is very short but they were just wee girls so without being too graphic, handling 2 girls wouldn’t take much of an effort for a grown man.
All the initial police updates said it was over quickly too.

They must have found something at his house though of significance for them to want to get it thrown out? Surely you wouldn't want a search throwing out if they found nothing there? The gun is significant but the ballistics aren't 100% are they?
Or I could be thinking way too much into it haha

If he undressed?
The new documents stated that Libby was found undressed and Abby was wearing Libby clothes…
I think it’s the gun that’s significant find in the house, unless he kept something as a sick trophy ?
Not sure when the next court date will be to see if anything gets thrown out.
still can’t believe if it’s him how close he stayed and worked in the town and nobody had any suspicions

For me the documents most important parts are when they say the investigator misrepresented witness statements to get the warrant.

For example the witness said ‘I saw someone in tan who was muddy’

Warrant says wiI saw someone in blue and tan who was muddy and bloody’

Thats a massive difference.

and the two investigators from the FBI who were on this case and have subsequently been murdered is fishy as duck.

Why would anyone drop two girls off that age to go play in such a bleak isolated location
Because it's a small community and it felt safe. There were other people there too. My friends and I played all over the place when we were young, often in isolated areas.

My childhood was spent in isolated, remote locations. Abandoned farm buildings, forests, hills, you name it.

Thr girls being dropped off at a rural location isn't the issue. The person or persons that killed them are.

This case is turning into more and more of a pantomime with each passing day. So very sad for these young girls to die in such horrific circumstances and now this. RIP sweet girls, you deserved so much more. 😟

The murder sheet podcast goes into detail about the leaked photos as they were sent them and went to police.
One of the person involved committed suicide, it’s really sad.
I guess a new defence will push the trial back, poor girls families it must be a nightmare for them.

Il have a listen to this, thanks. I can't imagine how their families must be feeling, such a long time coming and now this. Awful all round.

Leaking the photographs is a dreadful thing to do. I don't have much sympathy with whoever did that. This trial is a disgrace; those poor girls deserve better.
