Decluttering challenge

I have a Nars eyeshadow palette that got sticky and gross like this. I had to scrub it with acetone in order to melt that matte coating off. Took a fair bit of elbow grease but the box is normal plastic again. I hate this coating on all products and avoid it now, even if I like the products.
I tried a whole bunch of stuff, acetone included, and it made no difference. Just pissed me off so they had to go!

Oh you definitely did the right thing, it's unreasonable effort for something that shouldn't be a hassle in the first place. When my RT brushes bite the dust, I'm not replacing them either.

I'm glad in the end because it made me think about the packaging of the product as well as what's inside it.

Decluttering the millions (#exaggerate) of DVD's I've got.
As normal TV is so rubbish now 🙄, I've ended up watching quite a few of them.
Politicians Wife was brill, although I'm wondering what my neighbours were thinking was going on in my bedroom with Trevor Eve and Minnie Driver's gasping etc during their phone sex 😂
Tonight's was Monsoon Wedding - just wanted to get up and dance to the music - how could you not to this?:

Obviously going to take ages to declutter my DVD's but I'm enjoying myself!

I would say keep your DVD’s. They’ll be making a comeback as people find it difficult to stream some films due to rights or extra payment

Organised is my default setting and I’m really struggling with mo longer living like that!
Everything in its place and a place for everything.
By putting things back onto shelves, into cupboards, in drawers properly you take up far less space and anything you need is to hand without a search.

Unfortunately for me, himself is a fire it in and then go digging for what you need person 🤣
Fed up having to empty a drawer or cupboard to get to what I want! That inevitably ends up with me putting everything back the way it should be for the hundredth time!

This morning, when a heavy bottle of shampoo launched itself at me from the bathroom cabinet, I come to the conclusion that if I lived alone I could sort my life out much better! tje air was blue with my cursing!

Losing the willingness to declutter further as it seems every time I clear an area, it gets encroached on again almost overnight!

Kind of a decluttering question, kind of not ...

I recently bought a new desk as I will be working from home in my new job *yay* but it only has shelves, not drawers!
Does anyone have any recommendations for small storage pots/ boxes which don't cost an arm and a leg so I can organise my desk?
I know I need to buy a folder storage thingy, but no clue where else to look without it being so expensive :(

Have a look at tkmaxx, in store and online too. I buy notebooks a lot from there super cheap and they always have various cheap pots and boxes.

I am having a massive clear out this week and it feels so good. It really affects my mental health when my house gets so cluttered up, I'm feeling better already.
