Yes I think she’s an insecure person definitely. She always bites when people write relatively tame comments she doesn’t like and I think that’s a classic sign of insecurity. I remember when I first started following her on Twitter and found her so self-absorbed. All her tweets were me, myself and I. I thought with age and kids she might have calmed down a bit.

I love it when people show themselves up with only the slightest of prodding. Dawn was the original Stacey Dooley which is a rather dubious honour. I’m old enough to remember her and Kate Spicer’s (another one who always took herself far too seriously) riveting and hard hitting documentary on who could reach Size 0 first, resulting in Kate verging into eating disorder territory. Hard hitting broadcaster she was not. I always imagined her books to be of the same quality.

Love it when she talks about how healthy she eats and how they don’t do gluten or dairy then talks about how much exercise she does then at the end says she won’t be posting for a few days as her friend is coming to stay and she’ll be drinking loads of wine!

She’s inadvertently told us what type of person she is - 10 mins late for her facial and annoyed that she didn’t get her full treatment as presumably the therapist had other clients to see, Dawn works for herself why was she 10mins late?. Then the booked call from her publisher comes through when she is on a live - surely she could have done the live after the scheduled call with her publisher, but no her time is more important.

I went to see The Book of Mormon a few weeks ago and Chris O'Dowd was there looking haggard as duck. I'd just watched his episode in the latest series of Black Mirror so was pretty traumatised to see him to be honest

Ewww, as if she's pretending that she lives month to month. Perhaps she's disorganised when it comes to her personal finances but come on, all she has to do is pull out the card for the joint account. Talking like that when your household income is considerably chunkier than most peoples is so patronising.
It's funny the way she phases the line "occasional little ad to pay the rent" - As if it's perfectly normal to have the option to do a #ad to cover the bills.

You are married to a successful working actor, he isn’t waiting tables inbetween filming his audition tapes, presumably you have access to his money and if you don’t, then maybe look at why you are still with him. If you can’t live within your means that’s a you being an old soak problem.

She is a successful novelist, married to a moderately successful actor/writer. I'm sure that doesn't bring wealth beyond dreams and she is not the most well off of her friendship circle, but something's very wrong with their money management if they are on the breadline. If they are living hand to mouth, it likely says more about their financial sense than their financial reality.

There never seems to be that many people at Flackstock, yet plenty of celebs having a big freebie none more so than Dawn herself!
It just doesn't seem to take off and I'm not surprised. The event feels like a hybrid between a private memorial for her mate (who was utterly marmite as a person, especially at the end) and a public music festival. It doesn't really work and consequently, she ends up giving away the tickets to influencers and the Flack friendship group.
