One thing that really annoys me is not only has David Walliams always used outdated gay stereotypes for cheap laughs and to mould his 'nice guy' image to lure people in, but by doing what hes done he ends up reinforcing the homophobic opinion of gay men being predators and pervs. Not only with men in his stage shows (e.g. Hunt the sausage routine) but also against women who would usually feel safer around gay men.

Are these people just supremely arrogant to think they will never get caught? I've seen him swanning about on TV doing interviews in the past year like nothing happened. It amazes me how they feel like they are Teflon and nothing will happen to them.

I've seen a few DJ articles on Facebook today too. Quite a few saying he's a wrong un as well.
His most recent book was his Christmas book published in late October, which he's still been promoting because the stories last week about him not having his son for Christmas got their quotes from the press rounds of the book.
Harper Collins (and Williams) will have still made a chunk of money due to the new book's pre-Christmas sales. There's no way it was their decision to publicly drop him just days before Christmas as they've been happily profiting off his books for the past couple months, so there's no reason to believe they wouldn't have waited until after Christmas to get more last minute sales of his books, esp the Christmas one they're actively promoting.
They'll have only publicly announced dropping him to The Telegraph now as to get ahead of their investigation article, so the headline would be 'Walliams dropped from publisher' and not 'Walliams 'inappropriate' publishing staff which the company knew of and did nothing about'. They might have already decided not to publish any more books with him, but it almost certainly would have happened very discreetly otherwise with him claimimg he's 'taking a break from writing to focus on other things'
