I remember him giving lots of interviews where he discussed his predilection for groupies and stuff. I was a big fan and ate up all the rock media at the time.
I recall when Audioslave formed, Chris Cornell sort of came back as a more wholesome grown up grunger and we all loved it. I, for one, ate it up. He was sexy DILF mode and there was a comeback of the Seattle scene but just, less twatty. I often think the success of grown up Cornell influenced the era of ‘rockers gone sensible’.

Being a huge fan of Nirvana, the Foos and alot of indie, grunge music, I find with him, I'm disappointed with this news, his persona of coming across as the nice guy, if he had affairs ( and let's be honest, we don't know what goes on behind closed doors what the arrangement him and his wife had) but to have a baby, thats bleepin bad.

I'll never have any sympathy for these blokes. Much like footballers, they've got it made: They get to do their dream job, their wives often relocate based on what's best for the guys career, the wives do the majority of the childcare and have to take on the role of the "strict" parent who deals with all the non-fun side of parenting, meanwhile the guy is the super cool rockstar/ football playing dad who puts himself first and pops back occasionally to do fun stuff with the kids, who idolise him.
They go out and live their dream, knowing they've got the stability and love of their wives waiting for them at home to take care of them in their downtime. They've got everything, yet it's still not enough.
I hope she leaves him and he's left with nothing more than the hollow hookups with women who don't give a damn about him.
