I see DJ making a list of all these different places in Asia he plans to visit.
The thing is I just can’t get excited about it, reason being he never shows the places properly or does the trips justice.
When he did the bike ride across Europe he filmed hotel rooms and Petrol Stations, instead of the scenery on the way, when others challenged him he got defensive about it.
In New York he showed non of the tourist attractions, just a few greasy spoons and an indoor deli, he missed big opportunities to grow his channel.
Everything he does is minimal effort, he never interacts with locals and gets them talking on camera he just sits in cruise control doing just enough to get money from Youtube.

that’s the thing he had a real opportunity to make some good content and grow his channel with the viewers he’s gained off the back of his brief bro-mance with the macmaster but as your say minimal effort it is.
I also find it strange he seems in no rush on the visa and health insurance yet he has signed a year lease ?

I've noticed in his comments there's one guy who seems to rush to DJs defence at every negative comment, captainperfection is the username. It's either darren himself or someone he knows.

The budget vlog was weird. He never spoke about accommodation costs, utilities, groceries. Travel, fuel for his bike. All things that need to be budgeted for, yet he doesn't mention them. And the vlog after that, he had a meltdown about tomato ketchup.
These 2 vlogs were full of rambling nothingness. Strange content from a strange man.
This guy I have seen ‘moderate’ comments on other food vlog channels too, so it is not DJ but is highly annoying lol

He is rather smug and cocky lately, could easily give rough translations from baht to gbp but chooses not to.
Would not divulge the cost of his rents as he swung a discount by advertising the agents on his vlog.
I reckon when he did his budget he had a brain fart and he was basing it after subtracting his YT profits from his expenses.
Looking at his comment section these days it seems what was a good and loyal community have now turned on him to some extent because of his abrupt nature and sweet lost old man act.

Yes, it seems very similar. If you watch some of the ex-pat vlogger's, they tell stories of the scams and rip-off's. It all sounds very dodgy and seedy.
Why on earth would you use this photo? Like a wild animal.

He got defensive in the comments with someone asking about visa costs, and health insurance. Surely that would be a priority.
I don't think he realises the state of the roads, and danger's of long road trips on a bike.

A couple of guys we've watched who live in Jomtien do monthly budget breakdown vlogs, and always include the monthly pro rata cost of the visa and health insurance in with rent, food, water and electricity etc. Logical in other words.

Just watched the New Years Eve vlog. Looks like it was filmed while JD was the worst for drink. Awful footage and editing (if you can call it edited footage). One shot taken with the camera spinning around, for no apparent reason Another sequence where he had just left the camera on a table. Really seedy looking place that JD has been doing shameless infomercials for called Bentleys. The place is full of male European sex tourists in their 50s-60s accompanied by much younger Thai women. Bentleys doesn't appear to have the wipe down privacy curtains though, never mind. Looks like Bentleys is going to be his local, so look forward to more full English breakfasts, fish and chips, pie and mash all with a generous helping of DJs riveting descriptive narrative. He's already run out of ideas and he's only been there a few weeks. Mark my works he wont last the year in Thailand.
