Trouble is there's dozens of old men in Pattaya also trying to do the same. Rides for Kickz pretty much has covered that whole area for years with daily vlogs and he has more than twice the subscribers than DJ.
Take away the sex tourism & Pattaya is a boring small scruffy city with bugger all to offer.
Also YT don't like paying for content from there which probably explains why Rides for Kicks downgraded from a similar condo to a shanty town by the beach 90km from Pattaya.
But DJ knows everything so he'll be the king of Pattaya vloggers in days!
I’m already bored of these Thailand vlogs to be honest, at least with his London vlogs we recognise and know the places and can visit them based on his recommendations. Who gives a toss about Thailand? The comments on his latest video about finding and renting an apartment were super critical, so many commenters think like us and reckon he’ll be back within the year. He’s gone over there and is spending like there’s no tomorrow, piling up on food and renting an expensive apartment, keep this up and he’ll be out of money in no time, some people are saying he’s absolutely minted but I don’t believe he is. Not so long ago he was crying hard up saying he was going to have to move back to Margate and flog his bikes and I think people forget that. I do wish him luck and I hope he comes to no harm whilst he’s over there but so far he appears to be rushing into everything and spending as if the money is burning a hole in his pocket. The sensible thing to do would have been to take his time, do proper research and move after Christmas with an apartment already lined up once he got over there and a little part time job just as a side earner should YouTube not be enough to live on.
I still don’t get how with just 32 thousand subscribers he seems to think he can make a living from YouTube. It’s not as if he lives on a tight budget, if he did then it might just work but he spends as if he’s loaded! He’s the expert though of course, and his replies are very blunt and sometimes quite rude, even to his fans and from what I’ve seen of Thailand so far it just looks like a poverty stricken shanty town full of neon lit bars, I’m sure it has beautiful places but I’m not seeing them. I don’t know why I devote hours of my life obsessing over this situation but it’s hilarious - it’s basically watching someone’s midlife crisis unfold before your very eyes. His fans think we’re all just jealous but honestly you couldn’t pay me to move over there, I’d like to visit just to say I’ve been but I certainly wouldn’t choose to live there. I think a lot of the negative comments on his vlogs actually come from a place of concern, people are trying to give him helpful and practical advice but he refuses to listen so now we just have to watch the car crash unfold before our very eyes. It’s so predictable too - he’ll meet a Thai woman, she’ll fleece him and he’ll be back within the year, I really hope I’m wrong but I fear I’m not.

Daz is just not very bright. He thinks he knows it all. There are lots of channels with ex-pats doing Thai vlogs. Some a bit seedy. Claims to love Thai food, he has yet to showcase that. The fact that he constantly talks about money, and his expensive bikes is vulgar. A glutton when it comes to food.
I just hope he starts taking his health seriously.

Yes, let’s be real DJ is boring as is and now he is going to quickly run out of content being in Thailand.

One thing I found interesting from this morning's rant was his mistrust of the other Pattaya vloggers.

An interview with DJ on a channel called Thairish Times popped up on my feed yesterday. The guy who runs the channel apparently lived in Thailand for 12 years and he was voicing his concerns exactly the same as many commenters here and on DJ's videos, namely why move wholesale after only one holiday, what's the rush, are you concerned about being taken advantage of (not just by a bar girl but by ex pats who will pretend to be your mate but just want to tap you for money). I think Darren must have thought this interview would grow his channel with this other guy's subscribers, but he seemed rattled and defensive by the end and just kept repeating that he knew what he was doing. It was an uncomfortable watch.
The comments are basically saying the Thais will rinse him out.

Then recommends the ONLY letting agency he has used, because they go the extra mile to give you what you want. They showed him 5 properties and he found the one. Must have been the easiest sale they've ever made.
Oh, and he's going to fund all this with 30,000 subscribers to his you tube channel, and his sparkling personality.

Well I think he’s banned me from his channel as I seem to be just chatting to myself and no one is reacting to my comments, how pathetic! He doesn’t like anyone having opinions on his life choices unless they’re the ones he agrees with of course! The harsh reality is he’s gone over there to find a Thai bride and he’ll be back within the year with no money! His last video was a dig at all his “haters” yet a lot of the negative comments appear to be coming from a place of genuine concern, people are trying to help and advise him, I’m sure none of us actually want to see him fail but he’s so just so incredibly arrogant and thinks he knows Thailand inside out after a 3 week holiday! If it all goes belly up then let him get on with it I say.

I don't see what's to be jealous about. Here we have a 55 year old guy having a midlife crisis that's just moved to Thailand after a 3 week holiday. He doesn't own any property in the UK, he's unemployed and is staying in what just looks like a holiday apartment/hotel room.
