Oh would you look at that, the comment disappeared! I’m surprised he hasn’t deleted a lot more of the negative comments on that video. But at the end of the day I think if it’s upsetting him this much then he should think about just deleting his channel completely and getting on with his life in Thailand. He seems to be having some sort of midlife crisis and he also seems a bit suicidal to me. I don’t know why he needs the channel, maybe it’s his outlet and he thinks people are interested but the videos are so dull now, it was way more interesting when he was in London, I don’t care about some random coffee shop in Thailand that I’ll never visit. A lot of these YouTubers seem to feed on the hate they receive, if I were him I’d just delete my channel and all the videos and just forget about it and move on, I’d take up loads of hobbies to keep myself busy and get a job. A lot of YouTubers are deleting their channels now as they’re realising life is just too short and people aren’t actually that interested. Adam’s Rotten Rooms recently deleted his channel but I don’t think that was his choice, I think he was being threatened with legal action.The truth shall set you free 🫨

He doesn't get a lot of money I don't think, doesn't seem to even enjoy doing YouTube anymore, constantly complains about the trolls, up himself in the comments and doesn't even reply to the people who support his content, you're right, he should just stop. To be honest, no one really cares what a balding bloke having, as you said, a clear midlife crisis is eating for his fifth meal that day. Or that he'd prefer to prowl Pattaya after dark in favour of going back over and supporting his daughter through her pregnancy. If I were his kids, my skin would crawl knowing what my dad was doing in Thailand...
He never takes any of the suggestions however kind they are, so I really don't see why he still has these channels, clearly his ego but it's not like he's getting thousands of pounds every upload
I was maybe the last to notice, but someone has started a parody YouTube channel called Darren John Daily. His old YouTube mate would have had it taken down by now with copyright strikes.
That's disgusting behaviour at the buffet.
There's also a Barren John channel.

On 10th February 2026, Darren John posted a video attacking some of his viewers and accusing them of being “trolls” and of “bullying”. This channel is a direct response to that. As a long-term viewer (and previous fan) of his channel for over three years, Darren has shown some of the most toxic and obnoxious behaviour I have ever seen, including being rude to Thai restaurant staff, being unhygienic at buffets, getting arrested for drink-driving, and lying. I couldn’t stand by and watch any more. The video he posted was the final straw. This channel is for people to discuss all things “Darren John”. The aim is to provide a safe space for the ever-increasing number of viewers who have been muted from Darren John’s channel. I don’t agree with bullying, so there will be nothing on here that isn’t “fair game”. If it’s critical of Darren, it’s because he deserves it. This channel will continue until Darren starts to show some humility,
