He has very limited vocabulary. It's 'amazin', 'fwesh' or 'spicy'. Not great for a food reviewer. Should educate himself about real Thai food, and what goes into the dishes, etc. Instead, we see an obese Peter Griffin lookalike, stuffing his face, without taking a breath.

DJ talking about drinking in bars when he was in Thailand previously. DJ explains, you've got your own drinks and then there's the "lady drinks". thats when a female or someone that appears to be female starts chatting to you and you buy them a drink. What a mug. It's a massive scam. These girls work in the bars. Their job is to get tourists to buy them drinks and spend more money. The drinks the girls get will often be massively watered down as well. If you go for extras you might get more than you bargained for, if you know what I mean.

Can someone fill us in on the “lady drinks” I have my assumptions but are they prostitutes ? Or just desperate women looking for a western man ? Mixture of both ?
no one really knows but in all likely hood a mix, there will be desperate women working at the bars who can be purchased by these large greaseballs for a night of ‘fun’ and there will be women from deprived backgrounds not on the payroll but looking for a western man to take them out of poverty.
These guys are just abusing their economic statuses, are losers back home but see these women as nothing more than a piece of meat and they know they have the upper-hand.
They won’t want DJ and his ilk for their looks and personality.

Poor women from the countryside. You buy a lady drink or 2, normally about double the price. You negotiate a price for short time (ie A 1 hour bunkup). Pay the bar fine which covers her lost earnings then away to do the dirty deed. Depending on the seediness of the venue you might go upstairs or just pull a curtain around you like Soi 6. As DJ was staying in Soi Honey which has the seediest and cheapest Gentleman's Clubs with the oldest most unattractive ladies. +/- 1200 baht. (So I was told).
