Dakota has created some art/writing submission page. The idea is she writes a prompt, people create “art” responding to that prompt, then she “curates” the submissions and puts them on the website to quote “give back” to her audience for making her dreams come true.

The girl is absolutely daft. She said she is going to be getting THOUSANDS OF *MONTHLY* SUBMISSIONS and posted an Instagram story a couple days ago (wish I took a screenshot) asking for advice on how to deal with the immense volume of work she is set to receive. She used the word thousands two times in the post.

Only someone with a delusionally elevated view of themself (and failure to comprehend internet engagement) would think that a project they have just announced and barely promoted will be overrun with people trying to submit new work they specially created for it.

I did not realise there was a thread of her on here but she popped up a while back on my TikTok when she had a very small following. I heard she was Aussie like me, read and wrote so in shared interests, I followed her... good grief, she is insufferable and seems to have only gotten worse! I love poetry, write myself, and really enjoy reading, but there's something about her that is so pretentious that I'm really surprised people are drawn to her content in honesty.

Is she hooking up with Jack Edwards?? They've been posting a lot of content together on TikTok...I used to like Dakota when her channel seemed earnest but now she seems trapped by living an "aesthetic" lifestyle and it comes across as try-hard and disingenuous.

Also annoying when she always mentions the fact that she's a classic literature major in every.single.video...like sis we get it, you're an "evolved reader" lol. Her whole schtick seems very contrived.

The constant mention of her degree makes me laugh as well because the books she recommends are so basic... All the pretension with none of the actual good taste.... Other literature studying booktubers like Emmie have WAY better well rounded recommendations, while Dakota probably still thinks recommending The Picture of Dorian Grey is some groundbreaking move.

But yeah it really seems like they're together, which is so baffling.

Please do lol. This is seeming more like a devil’s advocate page than a snark page at the moment. I definitely skipped through a bunch of the vid, which is why the quantity of mispronunciations she managed to pack in is so impressive.

If she spoke any language other than English even at a low level, you can trust she would be bashing us over the head with “As a bilingual,” in every other video.

Instead her refrain alternates between “As a writer,” “As an artist,” “As a creative,” “As a literature student.”

The fact that she keeps referring to herself as an “artist” is hilarious.

She could not pronounce the name of a German author, thus definitely does not speak German:

Here's a small compilation of Dakota's posts referencing milk on Instagram during the last month. Oh, I might have missed some. Multiple people have warned her about milk being widely used as nazi/white supremacist dog whistle on social media these days but it seems she just has to keep making posts about it because she looooooooves milk so much!!! And she makes sure to always pose with it alongside her rich white "trad yet apolitical" European friends. Not a great look.
