With a normal interior design project that is professionally executed the planning and ordering process can take anywhere from months to years, depending on the size of the project. The install portion usually takes about week, give or take, again depending on the size of the job. If a designer is being adequately compensated they have included in the budget the cost to hire whatever staff they need to help them execute the install - assistants, moving crews, handymen, cleaners etc.

All I can figure is that she takes on these projects either for free or is paid very little to do them. Hence, can’t afford to pay helpers. As far as the expedited timelines, some of her projects seem to me like maybe the client wasn’t even planning on hiring a designer but Crystal pitched it to them - as in, hey, let me help you out with some styling in exchange for a place to stay for a little while, or letting me film it for content, etc. Her last minute shopping sprees the day before or morning of tells me she either is a really shit planner or she has no place to store the product she is going to be installing so doesn’t purchase in advance. Again, highly unprofessional and speaks to a lack of funding. On actual design projects you couldn’t get away with that because you would be expected to order the furnishings/accessories/window coverings/art/lamps/rugs well in advance and have them waiting to go in during the install. You would never just wing it and wait and see what Ikea or the hardware store has in stock.

This is my take on the situation as well. Freebies for content. Gumtree and Facebook marketplace finds as fillers. Winging it with what is available right then and there.
I doubt she even pays herself much for all that work.
There is no denying she puts in the hours.
I will keep my little eye on how it holds up!

Her story about going into a church while she knowingly had Covid, whether it is true or not, just shows the type of person she really is and the comments made in these threads are on point. That is not something to be proud of.

I guess she didn’t get enough sympathy from the 27 times she’s mentioned her infected eye in the last 3 days so she had to turn on the tears and make a dramatic departure announcement.

Notice how just 5 min later she corrected herself and said she would still be posting design tips but wasn’t going to be posting anything personal. Sure thing! Her need for attention is like her need for oxygen. If her sabbatical starts Jan 1st, I give her until Jan 3 before we get another long suffering post about her family finally being back together after 5 yrs.

yep- going on last 2 week failed sabbatical she will struggle to make it to the 2nd.

The podcast is coming out Jan 1 remember. Maybe she is expecting that to take off and she can do her monologues over on Spotify instead

She designed it from her spiritual dreams? No, it’s covered in white paint like every other thing she’s touched for the last 5 years. So far there has been zero evidence of creativity, divinely inspired or not.

Besides, she had been posting images of seaside restaurants that she pulled from Pinterest for weeks before the Byron project. She 100% pulled any of her ideas from there. Looking back at how long she had been posting those images for, it always made me suspicious about her claim that the restaurant project popped up out of the blue “from god”. It seems to me that she knew it was going to happen, or the potential for it to happen, and was pulling inspiration images for weeks in advance. It makes a great story that god just unexpectedly laid it in her lap though.

Besides, she’s been saying for the last 3 months that she had 3 big projects coming up in December, right? This restaurant would have made that 4 if it were in fact unexpected. So far there have been 2. Let’s see how many more there are before the end of the year.

I understood her to be saying the video footage was from a previous gathering he had organized when he was alive. I thought it was the same gathering that she shared in her stories a few weeks back when she filmed herself sitting alone with her laptop and singing into her camera like a weirdo whilst everybody else was around her socializing and having a good time (same day she filmed herself crying on the beach). At any rate, I have no doubt that she is insinuating a deeper relationship with this guy than she actually had. All so she can film herself crying, again, for the gram. Gross for sure.

Jeez, who would have guessed that shipping to the bush would be expensive or that there would be shipping delays in the middle of a global pandemic? Not Crystal apparently, despite the fact that she had owned a retail business before and was thoroughly informed on these things. But if she couldn’t use those excuses then she would have to acknowledge that she simply didn’t have the customer base in Tamworth and it was an amazingly moronic move to sink that kind of money into that kind of business in that location and that her business was never going to be a success.

Agreed, but that is a rational person’s perspective. She thinks posting all of this personal stuff is brand building though. She’s said it before. She said if you focus on just building & marketing a business online you are limited in your opportunities but if you create a “brand” (also share all of your personal baggage) you have more flexibility and opportunity. She didn’t say it that succinctly but along those lines. It’s absurdly flawed logic but that’s Crystal in a nutshell. The fact of the matter is that she is on socials for one reason only - to feed her bottomless narcissistic need. She will never have the discipline to not overshare on her business account.

Didn't she create a personal account but she didn't have any followers? I don't remember the name of it now but perhaps someone here does. And you'd think all the personal "baggage" (crazy things she says & posts) would scare any serious brand AWAY!

In case you missed it, the last 2 years for Crystal have been the hardest she’s ever had. I don’t know if you know that because she hardly ever mentions that the last 2 years have been the hardest she’s ever had.
I can see if there is some confusion though because every time she does mention how hard her life has been the timeline changes. On any given day it could be the last 4/6/8 or 10 years that have been the hardest she’s ever had. At any rate, her life has been very, very hard.

Give it a break, princess. This constant sympathy grab is so tired.
(Funny how she fails to mention that she’s the one that created the train wreck that is her life though.)

In her latest story it’s been 5 years it’s just rinse and repeat. She literally has no other content!

Most definitely this project displays how inept she is.

They ended up chopping the end of the boat off because it was too long for them to get it into the rafters at the angle they were having to slide it in at. (If you go back to this slide in her stories you can see where they couldn’t slide the back end in far enough to get the front end up onto the next rafter.)

They laid it on the rafters because it was too heavy to hang and would have required some serious retrofitting both to the boat and the roof to do so. At least the crew having to haul that thing around were smart enough to tell her hanging it couldn’t be done. I can only imagine the conversation between the boys out of Crystal’s earshot about how clueless she is and how they were breaking their backs moving that thing around trying to make her “vision” happen while she was stood off to the side filming it and then preening beside it after the fact as if she accomplished something. No, Crystal, “we” didn’t do shit. They did it.

I feel sorry for the little guy in the blue shirt; I hadn't noticed him before. Do you think she paid them all for breaking their backs for her?!

Do you think she wanted to use that rope to hang it?! Just looking at the photo and how half-assed the paint job looks and that crappy old boat I'd be embarrassed to show my face around there.

Surely she knows its fake, but wants to create the illusion she is doing really well when in fact she is an absolute fuck up of a human. Probably thinks if she can make people believe she actually owns something of value, that makes her successful business women/ entrepreneur etc.
