Hope she’s thinking how’s she structurally going to hang the boat. Not sure her cable ties and curtain rods on string are going to work in this instance 🫠

Two options here.

She’s either:
A.) not even remotely o.k.
-or-
B.) taking the piss out of tattlers

So at around 10:00 am she posts about needing a boat …

At approx 2:15 pm she posts that somebody responded to her and gave her a boat. But she’s not content to leave it at that, she’s got to tell us how she is divinely guided and gifted because this woman who doesn’t even know her just texted her out of nowhere (how did she get your number, precious?) and offered her the boat without knowing she wanted one! See - God is good and is sending Crystal more messages! Totally believable, right?? ()

Except for one thing. The time stamp on the text says 1:33 pm. Which was 3 1/2 hours after Crystal posted her plea for a boat to all of social media. Fuck me sideways, does this broad really think people are this stupid??

I don’t get it. If she’s the ‘designer’ and is doing so well out of all her projecs (as she claims)…. . Why is she painting til all hours in her bathers and doing everything solo? Why not hiring even just one handy person to assist? Remember the early seasons of the block tv show… when the couples did all the DIY themselves… and then that started to impact on the quality of the jobs and longevity of the work done and the value of the properties and now, of course on the block they hire proper tradies to do all the work, so it is done professionally (well, except the painting).

Even just buying a ladder to start with…

Sorry crystal but this really doesn’t look nice. Covering that beautiful sage colour with chalky looking white paint is not it.
Also, is she using the same paint for the bricks/gutters/trims? They all require different prep and different paint. This is going to just peel right off. Fixing this will be a big job for the owners.

The only thing that makes sense is that she’s not getting paid for this job either. Otherwise she could afford an assistant at least.

Please Crystal… DO NOT paint the floor tiles.. a busy restaurant on Byron’s main beach cannot have a dodgy paint job.. are the people employed her freaking out at this point?

Excuse me if I am stupid but I don’t understand what she is saying about painting fish, I don’t see any fish on the walls? Please explain!

Crystal, always Crystal.

I am always so confused. Nothing ever lines up.
she was so extremely busy that she had to postpone the launch of shine the light project. She was under the pump until the end of the year.
Then all of a sudden she gets the gig doing the kiosk. She had a team! We all saw them cringing in the videos.Now she is saying she is doing it solo.
She hasn’t been able to answer DMs, but she had time to record her first podcast.
There are fish. Hundreds of fish, a thousand fish, 5000 fish! I cannot for the life of me see even 1 fish.
Everything was a sign/spiritual and holistic. It’s not DIY- it’s whatever she called it- creative artist something? Yet she is painting which looks suspiciously like DIY.
She is painting in her bikini and posting it to social media.
She had a horrible day yesterday. we don’t know what happened there. But the intricately decorated Xmas tree has somehow managed to appear even tho there WAS NO TIME!
I think she is having a manic episode.
That is my gut feeling. Where are her people to help her? Something ain’t right

I agree. I know her mania is frequently mentioned here but this feels a bit different. Normally, for me anyways, it feels as if Crystal leans into her manic episodes, because she likes being Crazy Chaotic Wild Woman Crystal. (It’s not uncommon for people to not take their psych meds because they like the self-important, euphoric feeling mania gives them, the high. They’ll say meds make them feel like a normal person and they don’t want that.) But it’s really starting to appear as if she is stepping into hyper-religiosity or religious delusion territory of mania here, which is concerning. Hopefully her family is keeping an eye on her.

Genuine question. Why does crystal always have some small windows of time to work with? She always seems to have something to do ‘in 48 hours’ or ‘in only 2 weeks’. I’m confused as to why she isn’t hired with a realistic time frame agreed upon by the business/home owners. Anyone know? I mean I know that generally you would want something completed asap but if it was a week turnaround I’d be expecting a team of people not just one woman in her swimmers with a stool and a bucket of white paint.

With a normal interior design project that is professionally executed the planning and ordering process can take anywhere from months to years, depending on the size of the project. The install portion usually takes about week, give or take, again depending on the size of the job. If a designer is being adequately compensated they have included in the budget the cost to hire whatever staff they need to help them execute the install - assistants, moving crews, handymen, cleaners etc.

All I can figure is that she takes on these projects either for free or is paid very little to do them. Hence, can’t afford to pay helpers. As far as the expedited timelines, some of her projects seem to me like maybe the client wasn’t even planning on hiring a designer but Crystal pitched it to them - as in, hey, let me help you out with some styling in exchange for a place to stay for a little while, or letting me film it for content, etc. Her last minute shopping sprees the day before or morning of tells me she either is a really shit planner or she has no place to store the product she is going to be installing so doesn’t purchase in advance. Again, highly unprofessional and speaks to a lack of funding. On actual design projects you couldn’t get away with that because you would be expected to order the furnishings/accessories/window coverings/art/lamps/rugs well in advance and have them waiting to go in during the install. You would never just wing it and wait and see what Ikea or the hardware store has in stock.
