There’s a podcast which I listened to yesterday and recommend - Hell In Heaven-A mysterious death in Paradise, which tells the story of the death (murder or suicide?) of John Bender in Costa Rica.
I read an article about this a few months ago and found it fascinating - the mansion without walls in the middle of the rainforest, and the isolation which drove him and his wife Ann crazy.
Definitely worth a listen!

Little Miss Innocent - Disney+

thoughts and spoilers hidden.

I was convinced that it was the father/adam throughout the first 2 episodes of this documentary. Episode 3 changed that due to the digital evidence at presented and I thought that she must have indeed been guilty of the murder . Until in the last 10 minutes the documentary revealed that a 2nd trial jury were also hung so the prosecution changed its charge to manslaughter. THIS I AM ON BOARD WITH..

this is what i think - i think that Kaitlyn bought the colcohine with the intention of possibly poisoning Adam - who she openly admits that the relationship was toxic . I think she might have trialled it on Mary - but it made Mary sick which resulted in her going to hospital before passing away a couple of days later. I cant see a reason why she would want to murder Mary - there wasnt a sniff of any bad blood between either eve with the Adam situation. I also think that she accepted the package at work, then opened it and took the bottle out - this would explain why her DNA was on both the envelope and the bottle. The police also stated that the package was found under her seat - so i suspect she forgot it. Then Mary died - she panicked - sent a letter to the police pointing at Adam as being responsible and it all spiralled from there. So its my belief that Adam was the intended victim - not Mary. Also tit defence on Kaitlyn's side for just blindly accepting the prosecutions version of events.. but even so I still think that my suspicions makes most sense.

Remind me again why Münchausen by Proxy isn't a crime of abuse carrying a sentence?

Death in apartment 603 - the case of Ellen Greenberg . Disney+

A 3 part doc about Ellen’s death - feel like the documentary has just scratched the surface and there is way more to this case than what’s been covered .

I want to find out more ..

I can’t understand why this was considered to be a suicide ...
I don’t like all of their episodes but I think the Redhanded podcast on this case is good. I had listened to it before watching the documentary and there are definitely a few things left out.

Not watched this yet but there was a very good podcast about it that I listened to last year. It is shocking how there was no criminal investigation into what can only be called abuse.

Annie Elise host of the Serialously podcast has done good deep dives into the Ellen Greenberg case, she is in touch with her parents and has had them on one of her podcasts after the documentary came out and often updates as there is a federal enquiry ongoing

Has anyone watched reported missing episode 2?
I've watched the first three, not the last one.

Something feels a bit 'missing' (no pun intended) this series. I can't put my finger on it but I've found myself drifting off during every episode. One thing seems glaringly obvious - there are a lot of ducked up kids!

Dont want to put any spoilers incase people are yet to watch but I was confused by the university student. Was it a scam or something else?

I wish they’d said. The new series left me with a lot of questions!

Watched it today having never heard of this case.

The simple answer is it's a mental illness - that's why Beverley Allitt is still in Rampton. I think if they (anyone) could prove that Meg's liver disease and heart problem (her ultimate cause of death) was caused by being unnecessarily over medicated by her mother then you'd be talking. But still, Jean is unlikely to face any punishment if the MBP can be proved. The usual sentence for a diminished responsibility plea, which is likely what this would be and accepted by the prosecution, if the evidence from experts is strong enough, is a hospital order. But the subject of the 'threat' (Meg) is no longer here so what would be the point? Although Jean could have found a new target amongst her over 60's followers 🤔

A very sad case. I think her sister must feel so much guilt because basically she ran away and left Meg in Jean's clutches. So many WTF? moments though.

I think the police accepted it was a scam. But yeah, it was a really odd one. The language barrier didn't help. Lost in translation.

I am sure that MBP can transfer to other victims as ultimately it is a metal illness and if not sorted will not go away. Scary she has followers who might be vunerable.
